A scratch layer transfer sheet comprising a substrate film and a transferable scratch layer disposed on one surface of the substrate film, the transferable scratch layer comprising a hiding layer, being able to be thermally transferred to the print surface of a transfer-receiving material and being able to be removed from the print surface by scratching it after it is transferred. The scratch layer transfer sheet is overlapped on a transfer-receiving material such that the transferable scratch layer faces the print surface of the transfer-receiving material to transfer said transferable scratch layer to the print surface by heating.

Disclosed is an image forming method comprising the steps of: providing a print output by a nonsilver photographic color hard copy recording system; providing a protective layer transfer sheet comprising a thermally transferable protective layer having a single or multi-layer structure separably provided on a substrate sheet; putting the print and the protective layer transfer sheet on top of each other and thermally transferring the protective layer onto an image in the print so as to cover at least the printed portion in the print; and separating the substrate sheet from the protective layer transfer sheet.

Image forming method

The present invention provides a thermal transfer sheet, which comprises a substrate film and a metallic layer disposed on one side of the substrate film, the metallic layer being comprising leaf-shaped aluminum powder. The preferable leaf-shaped aluminum powder is obtainable via a process in which an aluminum film is formed by a vapor deposition on a peelability facilitating surface of a carrier sheet, the aluminum film is peeled off the carrier sheet and finely divided. Using the thermal transfer sheet, it is possible to produce a printed product having a high metallic luster and hiding property and excellent in qualities including design, appearance or decoration. Furthermore, it is not expensive to produce the thermal transfer sheet of the present invention.

Disclosed is an image-receiving sheet having better toner-fixing ability, an excellent image quality and high carriage quality in electrophotographic copying machines and printers. In an image-receiving sheet in which a layer containing a binder and a filler is formed on one surface of a substrate , the Beck smoothness of the containment layer is 2000 seconds or less and the haze of the image-receiving sheet is 5 to 15% to stabilize the carriage quality and to obtain a high quality image from OHP projectors. The containment layer is either one of a receptor layer for recording an image or a backface layer and in the image-receiving sheet, a layer having a Beck smoothness of 20000 seconds or less is formed on the surface opposite to the surface of the substrate on which the containment layer is formed, thereby further bettering the carriage quality. Moreover, resistance control layers are formed on an image-receiving surface and/or the outermost layer of the backface, or between the receptor layer and the substrate or between the backface and the substrate , thereby maintaining better antistatic ability and toner-fixing ability.

Image receiving sheet

An image receiving sheet includes a substrate and a receptor layer. The substrate has at least one face, the receptor layer has a binder resin, and the receptor layer is provided on the face of the substrate. The binder resin of the receptor layer has storage elasticity moduli of 10 Pa or more at 130&deg; C. and 10 Pa or more at 200&deg; C.

Image receiving sheet and recording process

The present invention provides an image receiving sheet applicable to an over head projector (OHP) and a process for forming an OHP image. The image receiving sheet is capable of forming a yellow image providing a parallel-ray transmittance (Y) of 50% or more when the transmittance density (X) is in a range from 0 to 1.0 by electrophotography. The image receiving sheet is capable of forming a yellow image providing a haze value (Z) of 40% or less when the transmittance density (X) is in a range from 0 to 1.0 by electrophotography.

An image receiving sheet is provided for superior image reproduction. The image receiving sheet include a substrate and a receptor layer over at least one side of said substrate. The receptor layer includes a resin binder. The storage elasticity modulus of the resin binder is equal to or greater than 10 Pa at temperatures below about 40&deg; C. and substantially satisfies the following relationships: G&prime; /G&prime; &lE;9.0 and G&prime; &lE;10 Pa, where G&prime; is the storage elasticity modulus of the resin binder at 130&deg; C. and G&prime; is the storage elasticity modulus of the resin binder at 200&deg; C.
