The method for producing a three-dimensional artificial tissue is a method in which a three-dimensional artificial tissue extending in a predetermined direction is produced. The method includes: preparing a device including a culture tank having a culturing space surrounded by sidewalls, and a flow channel-forming member that penetrates through the sidewalls that face each other and is suspended in the culturing space along a predetermined direction; culturing cells in the culturing space and thereby forming a three-dimensional artificial tissue through which the flow channel-forming member penetrates; and removing the flow channel-forming member from the three-dimensional artificial tissue and thereby forming a perfusion flow channel that penetrates through the three-dimensional artificial tissue.

A storage system has a management computer and a storage device, where the storage device is connected to an external storage device and includes a first processor, a storage medium on which a plurality of logical storage devices is based, and a plurality of ports. The management computer includes a memory and a second processor, the memory storing port information, path information between host and storage device indicating the association between a host computer and the plurality of logical storage devices and ports, and path information between storage devices indicating the association between the external storage device and the plurality of logical storage devices and ports. The second processor executes band accommodation processing on either a path between host and storage device or a path between storage devices on the basis of the port information, the path information between host and storage device, and the path information between storage devices.

A storage system according to the present invention includes multiple real storage subsystems, and defines a virtual storage subsystem composed of resources included in one or multiple real storage subsystems. Upon defining a virtual storage subsystem, a virtual logical partition corresponding to a real storage subsystem is provided in the virtual storage subsystem, and a logical partition correlation information which is attribute (limitation) information showing whether various resource management operations extending over virtual logical partitions can be executed or not to each pair within the multiple virtual logical partitions is created and managed. When a management operation instruction regarding the virtual storage subsystem is received, if the resources being the operation target based on the management operation instruction belong to multiple virtual logical partitions, whether resource operation can be executed or not is determined based on the logical partition correlation information, and management operation is limited thereby.

An example of the present invention is a storage system comprising a first real storage apparatus including a plurality of real resources. The first real storage apparatus includes: real resource groups allocated to a plurality of virtual storage apparatuses; first management information for associating virtual resource identifiers individually assigned to real resources in a namespace independently defined for each of the plurality of virtual storage apparatuses with real resource identifiers individually assigned to the real resources in a namespace defined for the first real storage apparatus; and a controller for receiving a command including a designation with a virtual resource identifier, converting the virtual resource identifier in the command into a real resource identifier with reference to the first management information, and processing the command with the converted real resource identifier.

Technique for decision criterion for determining a transfer destination layer in rearrangement processing. A computer configures rearrangement reference information showing whether an access characteristic related to a task executed on a plurality of host computing devices is considered as a decision criterion for transfer destination determination in rearrangement processing of transferring data between actual storage areas of physical storage devices of different response performance. Storage subsystem refers to the rearrangement reference information and, based on an access characteristic of the plurality of computing devices with respect to the actual storage areas assigned to the plurality of computing devices, executes rearrangement processing of transferring data stored in the actual storage areas to different actual storage areas in the physical storage devices of different response performance.

To reduce the number of data copies between volume pools by preventing occurrence of unevenness of resource usage between the pools, provided is a computer system including: storage apparatus; and host computer coupled to the storage apparatus, the storage apparatus including physical storage device, the storage apparatus holding information associating virtual volumes and pools each including real storage areas of the physical storage device, the storage apparatus allocating, to the virtual volume of a write destination designated by the host computer, the real storage areas included in each of the plurality of pools corresponding to the virtual volume of the write destination, and storing the data therein, the computer system being configured to: determine, based on the information held by the storage apparatus, orders of priority of the volumes of the write destination by the host computers; and hold the determined orders of priority.

The present invention provides a technique of suitably configuring a decision criterion for determining a transfer destination layer in rearrangement processing according to a task type and operation status and preventing performance degradation caused by arranging task data requiring a high response to a lower layer. At least one computing device (or management computing device or each host computing device) of a plurality of computing devices configures rearrangement reference information showing whether an access characteristic related to a task executed on a plurality of host computing devices is considered as a decision criterion for transfer destination determination in rearrangement processing of transferring data between actual storage areas of physical storage devices of different response performance. Also, a storage subsystem refers to the rearrangement reference information and, based on an access characteristic of the plurality of computing devices with respect to the actual storage areas assigned to the plurality of computing devices, executes rearrangement processing of transferring data stored in the actual storage areas to different actual storage areas in the physical storage devices of different response performance (see FIG.).
