In a receiver that demodulates a received signal, deterioration of signal quality is suppressed. A current output unit generates and outputs, from a voltage signal, a current signal including a predetermined offset current in a low-frequency component between a high-frequency component having a frequency higher than a predetermined frequency and the low-frequency component having a frequency lower than the predetermined frequency. A demodulation unit demodulates the high-frequency component. A filter circuit passes, in the current signal, the high-frequency component from a current output unit to the demodulation unit, and causes the low-frequency component to flow from the current output unit to a predetermined reference potential point.

Receiver and receiver controlling method

The object is to simplify the configuration of a filter in a reception apparatus. The reception apparatus includes a filter. The filter provided in the reception apparatus selects a signal transmission characteristic that is one of a band stop characteristic or a low pass characteristic. Further, selection of the signal transmission characteristic in the filter provided in the reception apparatus is performed in response to a desired signal and an interference signal. In the filter provided in the reception apparatus, passage of the desired signal and attenuation of the interference signal based on the selected signal transmission characteristic are executed.

Reception apparatus and reception method

A transmission and reception apparatus, system for transmitting and receiving signals, and method for transmitting and receiving signals are disclosed. In one example, a transmitting part produces an output signal including a first digitally modulated signal. A receiving part includes a mixer circuit and receives an input signal including a second digitally modulated signal. A folding signal may be present as a function of the first digitally modulated signal and a clock signal used to produce the first digitally modulated signal. The mixer circuit performs frequency down conversion on the input signal, and may also be configured to perform a harmonic wave removal function on the input signal that reduces the presence of the folding signal from the input signal. The receiving part may further include a filter circuit that receives the frequency-down-converted input signal from the mixer circuit and selects a predetermined reception signal from the frequency-down-converted input signal.

A phase synchronous circuit includes a comparing unit for comparing an output of a low-pass filter with a reference voltage which causes the central frequency of a voltage-controlled oscillator to be set as well as generating a compared output voltage by integrating a compared output current, a frequency oscillator for generating a frequency signal to frequency-modulate an output of the voltage-controlled oscillator and a switching unit for, in the presence of an input signal to the phase synchronous circuit, causing the compared output voltage to provide negative-feedback to a second control terminal of the voltage-controlled oscillator, whereas, in the absence of the input signal, to the phase synchronous circuit, causing the frequency signal to be input to the second control terminal of the voltage-controlled oscillator.
