An object detecting apparatus includes: a piezoelectric sensor including a first electrode, a piezoelectric material surrounding the first electrode, and a second electrode surrounding the piezoelectric material and provided at an outer edge portion at a side of an opening of a door for a vehicle having a door panel; a signal processing circuit measuring a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a connecting line connecting the first electrode and the second electrode to the signal processing circuit.

Vehicular door opening and closing apparatus

A vehicle door opening-closing device which enables a reduction in the time for releasing a fully closed condition of the vehicle door without changing the driving force and the driving speed of the actuator when operating a vehicle door from a half closed condition to the fully closed condition and when releasing the fully closed condition. A latch mechanism includes a latch engageable with a striker and an engagement member for maintaining the latch at a condition for operating the vehicle door to the half closed condition and the fully closed condition. An operation mechanism operated by a motor operates the latch by way of a closing lever and operates the engagement member by way of an opening lever based on operation of an operation member. The opening lever possess a smaller lever ratio than the lever ratio of the closing lever.

Vehicle door opening closing device

A grommet apparatus includes wire, a hard grommet having a tubular wall portion contacted with the wire, a base portion contacted with the wire and a flexible engaging portion formed on the tubular wall portion and engaged with an opening, and a soft grommet having a surrounding portion surrounding the hard grommet, a first seal portion extended from the surrounding portion and fluid-tightly contacted with a surface of the panel, a wire fitting portion fitted onto the wire and a second seal portion fitted between the opening and the hard grommet.

Grommet apparatus

A driving arm (5) that is connected directly to an output shaft (4) of an electric motor (3) is connected to a mirror housing (8) through a ball joint (10). On the other hand, a driven arm (6) is connected to the mirror housing (8) through a connection device (11) having two orthogonally intersecting shafts (12, 14). The both arms (5, 6) are disposed in parallel with each other with a level difference being provided therebetween. As a result, the under view mirror is held in an attitude preferable for the stored position thereof and held in an attitude preferable for the use position thereof, when it is moved to the use position.

A sun roof device includes a transparent roof panel rotatably disposed on the vehicle's roof, sunshade panels laterally slidably disposed below the roof panel so as to shade light going into the vehicle through the roof panel and so as to permit lighting of the inside of the vehicle at a retracted position not below the roof panel, a driving mechanism for opening and closing of the roof panel and a linkage mechanism for linking the sunshade panel to the driving mechanism.

Sun roof device

A vehicle lifting jack assembly having a pantographic mechanism carrying a head bracket for engagement with a jack point formed in a vehicle body. The head bracket is formed with a first groove extending in one direction for accommodating a downwardly projecting flange portion of the vehicle body so that the head bracket can be engaged with a lower surface portion of the vehicle body at the opposite sides of the flange portion. The head bracket is further formed with a second groove which extends perpendicularly to the first groove for engagement with a support bracket provided in the vehicle body for storing the jack assembly in the vehicle body.

Vehicle jack assembly

A pantograph jack for lifting and lowering a vehicle chassis or the like includes a pair of upper arms and a pair of lower arms pivotally connected to each other by a metal member and a nut member, and a manually operated rod member having a joint portion for supporting the metal member via a bearing member. The rod member is rotatably fitted in the metal member and threadably fitted in the nut member. A flat contact surface is formed on the metal member and is in contact with the bearing member.

Pantograph jack

A screw bar for connecting a nut member and a bearing member of a pantograph-type jack includes a cylindrical-shaped bar member having a joint portion formed integrally with the bar member at one end and a threaded portion formed integrally on the bar member at the other end. The nut member of the jack is threadably engageable with the threaded portion of the screw bar, and the bearing member of the jack is pivotally mountable on the bearing support portion of the screw bar. The maximum outer diameter of the threaded portion is less than or equal to the desired diameter of the bearing support portion so that the bearing member can be mounted on the screw bar from the threaded-portion end. Preferably, the joint portion includes a flange portion having an outer diameter greater then the desired diameter and the bearing support portion is provided with a lug portion. The lug portion and the joint portion are positioned on opposite sides of the bearing member mounted on the bearing support portion to prevent axial movement of the bearing member. A method for forming the screw bar also is disclosed.

Screw bar for a pantograph-type jack

A pantograph jack apparatus for elevating a motor vehicle includes first and second upper arms pivotally connected to a supporting plate engageable with the motor vehicle and first and second lower arms pivotally connected to a base plate supporting the jack apparatus at ground level. The first upper arm and first lower arm are pivotally connected to a threaded connecting nut that is threaded on the threaded portion of a shaft member. The second upper arm and second lower arm are pivotally connected to a connecting bearing rotatably mounted on the non-threaded portion of the shaft member. The connecting bearing is axially movable on the shaft member between two stop portions so that, when the connecting bearing abuts against the first stop portion, the jack is in its lowered position for storage and, when the connecting bearing abuts against the second stop portion, the jack is raised to a position where it is engageable with a jacking portion of the motor vehicle body. Thus, the jack can be raised to engage the motor vehicle body without rotating the shaft member. The pantograph jack apparatus also is provided with a mechanism for preventing the jack from being lowered by gravity after it has been raised to engage the motor vehicle body.
