An image formation apparatus includes an electrostatically chargeable member having an optical density that changes with change of its reproducing power. A charging device forms an electrostatic latent image on the chargeable member, and a developing device develops the electrostatic latent image into a visual image. A transfer mechanism then transfers the visual image onto a recording member. A detector detects the optical density before the chargeable member is charged by the charging device and a control device controls at least one of the charging device, the developing device, and the transfer mechanism in accordance with the output of the detector.

Image formation method and apparatus

An automatic printer includes an accommodation device for an image forming element used for forming a master adapted to be repeatedly subjected to a reproduction process, and an optical system for projecting an image of the original onto the image forming element. A heater is provided for heating the image forming element for generating an electrostatic pattern in accordance with the image formed on the image forming element by the optical system, and the printer includes a rotary member for holding a master prepared by the optical system and the heating means, and a master holder for holding the leading end of the master on the rotary member. A charger is disposed for forming an electrostatic image corresponding to the original image on the master held on the rotary member, and a developer device and a transfer device are provided visualizing the electrostatic image, and transferring the visible image formed on the master by means of the developer onto a recording element. The image forming element which is subjected to the projection of an image of an original by the optical system is heated by the heater to obtain the master, and the master is maintained on the rotary member and repeatedly subjected to the step to be conducted by the charger, the developer and transfer device.

Automatic printing apparatus

An automatic printer includes an accommodation device for an image forming element which is used in the formation of a master adapted to be repeatedly subjected to a reproduction process, and an optical system for projecting an image of the original onto the image forming element. A heater is provided for heating the image forming element for generating an electrostatic pattern in accordance with the image formed on the image forming element by the optical system, and the printer includes a rotary member for holding a master prepared by the optical system and the heating means, and a master holder for holding the leading end of the master on the rotary member. A charger is disposed for forming an electrostatic image corresponding to the original image on the master held on the rotary member, and a developer device and a transfer device are provided visualizing the electrostatic image, and transferring the visible image formed on the master by means of the developer onto a recording element. The image forming element which is subjected to the projection of an image of an original by the optical system is heated by the heater to obtain the master, and the master is maintained on the rotary member and repeatedly subjected to the step to be conducted by the charger, the developer and transfer device.

An automatic printing apparatus includes an image formation member for forming a master which may be repetitively subjected to the process of reproducing an original image, a rotatable drum capable of holding the image formation member thereon, an optical device for projecting therethrough the original image upon the image formation member on the rotatable drum, a heating member for heating the image formation member on the rotatable drum so as to form a chargeable image pattern corresponding to the image formed on the image formation member by the optical device, a charging device for forming an electrostatic image corresponding to the original image on the master formed by the optical device and the heating member, a developing device for developing the electrostatic image into a visible image, and a device for transferring the visible image from the master onto a recording medium.

Electrostatic copying apparatus

The disclosure describes an improved electrostatic printing in which cleaning step and developing step are united together as single combined step. It is possible to carry out charging step and transferring step with same single means. The electrostatic printing is adaptable for making a large number of prints at a high speed. The developing agent can be recovered and reused very efficiently.

The electrostatic printing apparatus includes a device for making an electrostatic printing master having thereon an electrical resistance pattern by applying image light of an original on an image forming member and heating the member, a rotatable member for carrying thereon the printing master, a charge image forming device which applies electric charges to the master, a developer for developing the charge image, transfer device for transferring the developed image onto a transfer material, a cleaner for cleaning the master after the transfer, and a device for removing and discharging the master.

Electrostatic printing master apparatus

Electrostatic printing is conducted by using an electrostatic printing master composed of an insulating medium having an electric resistance sufficient to retain an electrostatic charge and conductive silver images carried in the insulating medium and heating the electrostatic printing master.
