The present invention provides a coating fluid including: a hydroxy group-containing resin; an inorganic layered compound; and a liquid medium, in which a ratio (outflow time (B)/outflow time (A)) of outflow time (B) of a coating fluid at 5&#xb0; C. measured by a Zahn cup to outflow time (A) of a coating fluid at 24&#xb0; C. measured by a Zahn cup is 1.40 or less.

A heat storage material composition that is excellent in shape retention and bleed resistance is provided. The heat storage material composition is obtained by heat-treating Component (A), Polymer (B-1) and Polymer (B-2) together. Component (A) is a polyhydric alcohol not having constitutional units derived from any vinyl monomers. Polymer (B-1) is a polymer composed mainly of constitutional units derived from acrylic acid or a salt thereof, a polymer composed mainly of constitutional units derived from methacrylic acid or a salt thereof, or a mixture thereof, excluding a polymer having two or more hydroxy groups in one polymer chain. Polymer (B-2) is a polymer composed mainly of constitutional units derived from a vinyl monomer, and having two or more hydroxy groups in one polymer chain.

Heat storage material composition

Methods for producing a resin film or a layered article which are excellent in gas barrier properties under high humidity conditions are disclosed. In the methods, a precursor film of a resin composition composed of alkali metal ions and a resin component having both hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups is subjected to treatments including (i) dry heating treatment of holding the precursor film under an atmosphere characterized by a temperature not lower than 100&#xb0; C. and a water vapor concentration less than 50 g/m, (ii) wet heating treatment of holding the precursor film resulting from the dry heating treatment under an atmosphere characterized by a temperature not lower than 100&#xb0; C. and a water vapor concentration more than 290 g/mor in water at a temperature not lower than 80&#xb0; C., and (iii) drying the precursor film resulting from the wet heating treatment.

Methods for producing resin film and layered article

Disclosed is an inorganic film comprising an inorganic laminar compound and a resin, characterized in that when an image observed with a transmission electron microscope of a cross section of the inorganic film including the thickness direction of the film is subjected to image processing to classify into 256 levels of shade on the gray scale, and subsequently, at each of arbitrary five or more points of the image-processed observed image, a straight line is drawn parallel with the thickness direction of the inorganic film from one surface of the inorganic film to the other surface, and then linear analysis is performed along each of the straight lines, the average value of standard deviations of degrees relative to the degree of each shade determined from the results of the linear analysis is 15 or less.

A method for producing a multilayer article is provided. The method comprises: a step of applying a first dispersion liquid comprising a first liquid medium and a first polymer component, a first alkali metal ion and a first inorganic laminar compound each dispersed in the first liquid medium to a surface of a support having a layer composed of a first thermoplastic resin to form a first dispersion liquid film on the support, wherein the first polymer component contains hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups at a molar ratio, hydroxyl groups:carboxyl groups, of from 30:70 to 95:5; a step of removing the first liquid medium from the first dispersion liquid film to form a first coating film, thereby producing a layered article comprising the support and the first coating film; a step of heating the layered article at or above a temperature at which a condensation reaction between a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group in the first coating film can occur, thereby hardening the coating film; and a step of supplying a second thermoplastic resin having been plasticized onto the layer of the first thermoplastic layer of the substrate of the layered article and shaping it into a specified shape, thereby producing a multilayer article having the layered article and a layer of the second thermoplastic resin.

Method for producing multilayer article

A method for producing a multilayer structure including a first layer and a second layer adjacent to the first layer, wherein the first layer comprises a first inorganic laminar compound and the second layer comprises a second inorganic laminar compound, comprising applying a first coating slip comprising a first liquid medium and a first material onto a substrate and removing the first liquid medium, and a step of applying a second coating slip comprising a second liquid medium and a second material onto the first layer and removing the second liquid medium, wherein the first coating slip and the second coating slip satisfy a requirement that the ratio of the dry volume of the second inorganic laminar compound to the dry volume of the second material is higher than the ratio of the dry volume of the first inorganic laminar compound to the dry volume of the first material.

Multilayer structure and process for producing a multilayer structure

Disclosed is a multilayer structure including a first layer and a second layer adjacent to the first layer, wherein the first layer is formed of a first material comprising a first inorganic laminar compound and a second layer is formed of a second material comprising a second inorganic laminar compound with a volume fraction greater than the volume fraction of the first inorganic laminar compound in the first layer. The multilayer structure may includes a substrate layer. A method for producing the multilayer structure is also disclosed.

There is provided a method for producing a barrier container having a barrier layer which constitutes the inner surface of the container by joining container parts, the method having step (1) of producing container parts from a thermoplastic resin, the container parts each having an inner surface, step (2) of applying a coating liquid containing a liquid medium and a polymer component (A) having hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups with a ratio of the number of the hydroxyl groups to the number of the carboxyl groups of from 30:70 to 95:5 to the inner surfaces of the container parts produced in step (1), thereby forming a film on the inner surfaces, step (3) of joining the container parts having the film to form a primary container, and step (4) of dry heating the primary container to obtain a dry heated container having a barrier layer.
