A shock absorber includes a cylinder including a working chamber therein; a rod configured to be axially movably inserted into the cylinder; and a plurality of tanks configured to be integrally attached to the cylinder, wherein an interior of one of the tanks is comparted into a liquid chamber configured to be communicated with the working chamber and filled with liquid and an air chamber filled with gas, and a sub-air chamber configured to be communicated with the air chamber is formed in the other tank.

Shock absorber

To achieve the object described above, a shock absorber to solve the problem of the present invention includes a cover that covers an outer periphery of a cylinder which a reaction force air chamber forming member is slid ably in contact with, so that a slidable movement surface of the cylinder on which the reaction force air chamber forming member slidably moves is protected by the cover. Therefore, the slidable movement surface of the cylinder is not damaged by being hit by a flying stone or the like, an air tight property of the reaction force air chamber is maintained, and characteristics of an air spring included in the shock absorber do not change.

A suspension device includes a shock absorber, an air spring that consists of a compressed gas that is sealed within an air chamber that expands/contracts in volume as the shock absorber extends/compresses so as to constantly bias the shock absorber in an extension direction, and a volume expanding mechanism that expands a volume of the air chamber according to an increase in a compression amount of the shock absorber when the compression amount of the shock absorber has reached or exceeded a predetermined amount.

Suspension device

A shock absorber includes: a communication passage configured to cause a working fluid chamber formed in a cylinder to communicate with a reservoir for reserving a working fluid therein; a damping force generating mechanism configured to apply resistance to the working fluid passing through the communication passage; a low-speed compression-side damping adjuster configured to change a damping force when a stroke speed is in a low-speed range during compression; a high-speed compression-side damping adjuster configured to change the damping force when the stroke speed is in a high-speed range, the high-speed range representing higher speed than the low-speed range during compression; and an extension-side damping adjuster configured to change the damping force during extension. The low-speed compression-side damping adjuster, the high-speed compression-side damping adjuster, and the extension-side damping adjuster are attached to a tank side of the cylinder.

A shock absorber includes a telescopic tube member configured to include a vehicle body side tube and a vehicle wheel side tube, a cap member that closes an upper side opening of the vehicle body side tube, a cylinder erected in an axial center portion of the vehicle wheel side tube, a piston rod held by the cap member and configured to enter and exit the cylinder, a reservoir formed between the tube member and the cylinder, a cap interior passage formed in the cap member and configured to connect the rod interior passage to the reservoir, a plurality of valve bodies provided in series or in parallel midway in the cap interior passage, and a plurality of adjusters attached to the cap member and configured to be capable of adjusting a valve opening pressure or an opening amount of the plurality of valve bodies.

Shock absorber and suspension apparatus

At least one of fluid paths of a shock absorber is a bypass path including: a one-side opening opened to a chamber in one side; the other-side opening opened to a chamber in the other side; a one-side shaft member fluid path that is connected to the one-side opening and passes through an inner side of the shaft member; the other-side shaft member fluid path that is connected to the other-side opening and passes through the inner side of the shaft member; and a support member fluid path formed inside the support member to connect the one-side shaft member fluid path and the other-side shaft member fluid path. The valves provided in the bypass path are housed in the support member.

A shock absorber that absorbs a vibration using a working fluid charged into a first chamber and a second chamber comprises a tube body, an inserted body, a tip end of which is inserted into the tube body from an end portion of the tube body, and a partition wall portion that is provided on the tip end of the inserted body to be capable of sliding within the tube body and partitions an interior of the tube body into the first chamber and the second chamber. The shock absorber comprises a connecting portion that is provided within a partition wall portion sliding region of the tube body and connects the first chamber and the second chamber when the partition wall portion passes thereby.

In a two-wheeled motor vehicle having a pair of right and left front forks for supporting a front wheel so that the front wheel is rotatable, a top bridge for supporting upper ends of the pair of right and left front forks, a handle post provided to the top bridge, and a bar-shaped handle secured to the hand post, the handle is provided above the front forks with respect to an axial line direction of the front forks, each front fork is provided with an air valve for sealingly filling air in the front fork and a projection on the upper surface thereof, and the projection is formed to be higher than the air valve.

Two-wheeled motor vehicle and front fork for the same

A hydraulic cushion unit () is interposed between a frame and a rear wheel axle of a bicycle. A surplus hydraulic oil discharging passage () discharges surplus hydraulic oil from the hydraulic cushion unit () to an accumulator () in contraction. A damping force generating valve () which maintains a closed state below a predetermined cracking pressure is disposed in the surplus hydraulic oil discharging passage (). A bypass passage () which bypasses the damping force generating valve () and a bypass valve () which opens and closes the bypass passage (L) are further provided. By closing the bypass valve () when pedaling of the bicycle is performed to start the bicycle, squatting of the bicycle is prevented while maintaining a shock absorbing function of the damping force generating valve ().
