Provided is a thermoplastic polymer composition, including a thermoplastic elastomer (A) and a polyvinyl acetal (B), wherein the thermoplastic elastomer (A) is a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer or an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer. Thus, a thermoplastic polymer composition is provided that has good flexibility as a thermoplastic elastomer composition, is excellent in mechanical properties and formability, and also itself has excellent adhesion to a ceramic, a metal, or a polar polymer. In addition, provided is a shaped article in which the thermoplastic polymer composition is adhered to a ceramic, a metal, or a polar polymer, in particular a shaped article adhered to a glass.

The present invention relates to a method for producing a hydrogenated block copolymer, including the steps of: (a) forming a block copolymer by allowing a living polymer having a specific structure to react with a tetra- or more functional silane coupling agent; (b) hydrogenating the block copolymer to form a hydrogenated block copolymer; (c) isolating the resultant hydrogenated block copolymer; and (d) deactivating a functional group in the silane coupling agent and/or an unreacted functional group present in a coupling agent residue in the block copolymer or the hydrogenated block copolymer prior to the step (c), in which the number of functional groups derived from the coupling agent in the hydrogenated block copolymer recovered in the step (c) is 1.5 or less per block copolymer molecule; a hydrogenated block copolymer obtained by the method; and a composition containing the hydrogenated block copolymer.

A thermoplastic elastomer composition includes a hydrogenated block copolymer, which is obtained by hydrogenating a block copolymer having two or more polymer blocks (a) each containing a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and one or more polymer blocks (b) each containing structural units derived from isoprene and 1,3-butadiene, a thermoplastic resin, and a rubber softener. The hydrogenated block copolymer has a crystallization peak temperature (Tc) of &#x2212;3 to 15&#xb0; C.

Hydrogenated block copolymer and composition comprising same

Provided is a thermoplastic acrylic resin composition comprising a methacrylic resin (A) and a polyvinyl acetal resin (B) obtained by acetalizing a polyvinyl alcohol resin with an aldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms and an aldehyde having 3 or less carbon atoms in which the total amount of the vinyl alcohol units acetalized with the aldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms and the aldehyde having 3 or less carbon atoms is 65 to 85 mol % of all repeating units, and the molar ratio of the vinyl alcohol unit acetalized with the aldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms to the vinyl alcohol unit acetalized with the aldehyde having 3 or less carbon atoms is from 90/10 to 0/100. Furthermore, provided are an article molded from the thermoplastic acrylic resin composition and a method of producing the thermoplastic acrylic resin composition comprising the steps of mixing a methacrylic resin (A) and a polyvinyl acetal resin (B), increasing the resin temperature to 160&#xb0; C. or more, and then decreasing the resin temperature to 120&#xb0; C. or less.

Hydrogenated block copolymer and composition containing same

Provided are a tube which has good transparency, flexibility, and solvent adhesion, and also has excellent clamp resistance, anti-conglutination property, and kink resistance, and a medical device using the tube. Specifically provided are a tube produced by forming a resin composition into a tube shape, which contains a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer (a) and a polypropylene-based resin (b) and does not contain a softening agent, in which: the elastomer (a) is a product prepared by hydrogenating a block copolymer including at least a polymer block (A) formed of an aromatic vinyl compound and a polymer block (B) formed of isoprene and/or 1,3-butadiene; the content of the polymer block (A) is 5 to 40 mass % before hydrogenation, the polymer block (B) has a hydrogenation ratio of 70% or more, and the polymer block (B) includes a 1,2-bond and a 3,4-bond at a content of 30 to 85 mol %; the mass ratio of the styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer (a) to the polypropylene-based resin (b) [(a)/(b)] is 90/10 to 40/60; and the tube has a ratio of a diffraction peak intensity [I(14)] at a scattering angle of 14&#xb0; to a diffraction peak intensity [I(15)] at a scattering angle of 15&#xb0; [I(14)/I(15)] of 1.4 or more in X-ray diffraction, and a medical device including the tube.

An acrylic thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by melt-kneading a methacrylic resin (A) and a polyvinyl acetal resin (B) at a resin temperature of not less than 140&#xb0; C. while applying shear at a shear rate of 100 secor more, and then cooling the kneaded product to not more than 120&#xb0; C. In the acrylic thermoplastic resin composition, at least the methacrylic resin (A) forms a continuous phase, and among glass transition temperatures of the acrylic thermoplastic resin composition, a glass transition temperature Tgascribed to the methacrylic resin (A) indicates a value between a glass transition temperature (Tg) of the methacrylic resin (A) alone and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of the polyvinyl acetal resin (B) alone. A film- or sheet-like molded article is obtained by molding the resin composition. An acrylic resin composite is obtained by laying a layer of metal and/or metal oxide on at least one side of the acrylic resin molded article.
