Provided is a water-decomposable absorbent article including a water-decomposable back layer, a water-decomposable and liquid-pervious surface layer, and a water-decomposable absorbent layer sandwiched between the back layer and the surface layer. The absorbent layer is formed of at least one composite sheet of a water-soluble or water-swellable polymer layer and a water-decomposable fibrous layer, of which the uppermost layer adjacent to the surface layer is the water-decomposable fibrous layer.

Water-decomposable absorbent article

Provided is an absorbent article including a liquid-permeable top sheet facing the liquid-receiving side, a hydrophobic sheet and a liquid-absorbing layer located between the top sheet and the hydrophobic sheet. Furthermore, a deodorant is disposed on the outer side of the hydrophobic sheet.

The absorbent article includes an inner region in which the absorbent layer is present, and an outer peripheral region having the back layer and the surface layer bonded to each other without interposing the absorbent layer therebetween and being formed in a predetermined width spaced from a peripheral edge of the absorbent article. A thermoplastic water-soluble adhesive is applied in a strip shape between the back layer and the surface layer in a predetermined width along the peripheral edge in the outer peripheral region. The back layer and the surface layer are heat-sealed with the thermoplastic water-soluble adhesive disposed therebetween in the outer peripheral region.

An absorbent article such as a panty liner for disposal of body fluids discharged thereon includes a body facing side, an undergarment facing side and an absorbent core disposed therebetween, the undergarment facing side including a thermoplastic synthetic fiber layer placed against a bottom surface of the core and having a density lower than that of the core, a synthetic resin layer having a density higher than that of the fiber layer and a first thermoplastic synthetic fiber having a density lower than that of the resin layer, and the synthetic fiber layer being coated with adhesive agent to an undergarment.

Absorbent article for disposal of body fluids discharged thereon

Provided is a water-decomposable absorbent article including, a water-decomposable back sheet containing water-dispersible fibers, a water-decomposable absorbent layer, and a water-decomposable surface member for covering the absorbent layer. The outer surface of the back sheet is provided with a plurality of adhesive spots for securing the absorbent article to an external support. The adhesive spots are arranged at intervals both in a longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction. The distance between the neighboring adhesive spots is longer than the maximum fiber length of the fibers constituting the back sheet.
