Electronic switch

In a phase controller used in a light control of an incandescent lamp, noise reduction, prevention of elements from damage due to short circuit current, downsizing and lower cost are purposed. A CPU circuit of a control circuit sets a gradual increase term during which a load voltage applied to the incandescent lamp is gradually increased by driving a self-quenching type switching device such as an IGBT. After passing the gradual increase term, a main switching device such as a TRIAC is turned on. The phase controller further comprises a current sensor such as a shunt resistor for sensing a value of the load current flowing through the self-quenching type switching device, according to need. The CPU circuit compares the sensed value of the load current with at least one reference value, and selects driving manner of the main switching device and the self-quenching type switching device corresponding to the result of comparison.

An electromagnetic relay assembly includes an actuator unit and at least one switch unit detachably connected with the actuator unit. The actuator unit includes an actuator casing accommodating therein an electromagnetic assembly and a movable actuator frame magnetically attracted by the electromagnetic assembly to move between first and second positions. The switch unit Includes a switch casing accommodating therein a switch assembly capable of selectively assuming one of an ON state in response to movement of the movable actuator frame from the first position to the second position and an OFF position in response to movement of the movable actuator frame from the second position to the first position. The actuator casing and the switch casing have mating engagement members by which the actuator unit and the switch unit can be separably connected together while the movable actuator frame in the actuator unit can be drivingly coupled with the switch assembly In the switch unit.

Electromagnetic relay assembly

A damper is provided by a plurality of chambers defined between stacked thin sheet members and containing a fluid for flowing therein through a communicating section, the chambers being made to be of a small height in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the sheet members and to form a buffer section with at least one of the chambers. With such damper employed in electromagnet assemblies and eventually relays including the assemblies, they can be sufficiently minimized in size, and their manufacture can be also made extremely easier.

An electromagnetic relay includes a pair of contacts of high fusion-bonding resistance and a further pair of contacts of low contact resistance, which pairs being connected mutually in parallel relationship, with an actuator of an electromagnet unit interposed between them and respectively having a movable contactor carrying a movable contact of the pair and provided for contact opening and closing with respect to a stationary contact of the pair by means of the actuator of the electromagnet unit, whereby the pair of contacts of low contact resistance can be prevented from causing any fusion-bonding and any temperature rise around the pair can be effectively restrained.

Electromagnetic relay

A contact device is provided with an additional mass member secured to a movable contactor carrying a movable contact capable of opening and closing contacts with a stationary contact, for providing to the movable contactor a mass acting in a direction perpendicular to longitudinal axis of the contactor. A rolling motion is thereby caused to occur in the movable contactor upon contact closing motion so that the movable contact can be prevented from being fusion-bonded to the stationary contact.
