A bumper absorber () has a squared U-shaped cross section formed of: a vertical face () extending in a top-bottom direction and a vehicle width direction, and a top face () and a bottom face () respectively extending rearward from a top end and a bottom end of the vertical face (). The bumper absorber () is configured such that the top face () and the bottom face () thereof are supported by the bumper reinforcement () via multiple attachment members (to), and an interval between the attachment members adjacent to each other in the vehicle width direction is set to decrease from end portions () in the vehicle width direction toward a central portion () in the vehicle width direction.

Vehicle bumper

A hood pop-up system for a vehicle that pops up a hood of the vehicle when detecting or predicting a collision of the vehicle. The hood pop-up system includes an oscillation-offsetting unit that offsets and reduces oscillation of the hood caused by the popping-up of the hood.

Disclosed is a mobile wireless device, which has an antenna structure for feeding a hinge core with an electric power and which can be adapted to wireless communications of low-frequency bands without enlarging a casing itself. In this wireless device, an upper casing () equipped with a first circuit substrate () and a lower casing () equipped with a second circuit substrate () having a wireless unit () mounted thereon are connected to open and close through a hinge unit having a conductive hinge (). A feeding unit () mounted in the upper casing () feeds the conductive hinge () with an electric power from the first circuit substrate (). A cellular antenna () mounted in the lower casing () is connected with the ground pattern of the second circuit substrate () at the position, where an extension () is separated along the axial direction of the conductive hinge () from a capacity coupling unit () arranged to confront a portion of the conductive hinge () and coupled capacitively to a portion of the conductive hinge (), thereby to short-circuit the capacity coupling unit () and the ground pattern.

Mobile wireless device

There is provided a mobile wireless device capable of preventing antenna characteristics from degrading by feeding electric power at a position hardly affected by a human body such as a hand or other body part. In the mobile wireless device, a first circuit board () is provided on a first chassis () and has a ground layer; a second circuit board () is provided on a second chassis () and has a ground layer. A ground terminal of a wireless portion () is connected to the ground layer of the first circuit board () at the same voltage level and is also electrically connected through the wireless portion () to a matching circuit (). The ground layer of the second circuit board () is electrically connected to a hinge conducting portion () by electrostatic capacitance coupling. The hinge conducting portion () is connected through a third conduction portion () to a board connection portion () and feeds power to the wireless portion through the matching circuit (). Provided is a portable communication device, specifically a portable wireless device which is thin while maintaining excellent reception sensitivity even when the device is laid on a metal top panel. As such device (), a foldable portable cellular phone () is provided with a battery box () opened on the side of a rear surface (), and a circuit board () having an antenna power feed point () is arranged inside a lower case (). The battery box () is covered with a battery cover section () removably attached to the lower case (). The battery cover section () is formed of a member having conductivity, and attached to the lower case () by having contact point members () in between for carrying a current to a reinforcing conductive plate () which is to be a GND layer of the circuit board (). The battery cover section () attached to the lower case () is electrically connected to the reinforcing conductive plate () by making the battery cover section abut to contact point members ().

Portable wireless device

A foldable portable radio device adapted to a plurality of frequency bands has a good antenna performance in all the use frequency bands even in both open and folded states. In the foldable portable radio device, a control section () controls switching means () to connect a sub-matching circuit () and a first circuit element () when a first use frequency band is used and further when the foldable portable radio device is in the open state and to connect the sub-matching circuit () and a second circuit element () when a first use frequency band is used and further when the foldable portable radio device is in the closed state, or when a second use frequency band is used irrespective of the open/closed state of the foldable portable radio device.

A hood pop-up system for a vehicle that pops up a hood of the vehicle when a collision of the vehicle takes place, which includes: a hood pop-up unit which pops up the hood positioned at a closed position and supports the popped-up hood at a hood support position that is higher than the closed position; and a hood pop-up restricting unit which restricts upward movement of the popped-up hood at an uppermost pop-up position that is higher than the hood support position.

A vehicle body front part structure includes a hood having a hood outer panel and a hood inner panel, and an impact absorber. The hood is openably and closably provided on an upper portion of a vehicle body constituent member. The impact absorber is interposed between the hood and the vehicle body constituent member and abuts against the vehicle body constituent member when the hood is closed. The impact absorber is mounted on the hood inner panel such that an end of the impact absorber projects toward the hood outer panel. The impact absorber includes upper and lower elastic portions. An impact inputted from the hood outer panel is absorbed such that the hood outer panel secondarily collides against the upper elastic portion. An impact caused when the hood is closed is absorbed such that the lower elastic portion abuts against the vehicle body constituent member.

A structure to couple exterior components of a vehicle includes a first exterior component and a second exterior component located apart from the first exterior component, wherein the first exterior component comprises an upper protrusion configured to overlap the second exterior component, and wherein the first exterior component comprises a side protrusion configured to overlap the second exterior component. A method to couple exterior components of a vehicle includes providing a protrusion about at least a portion of a first exterior component, installing the first exterior component proximal to a second exterior component, overlapping the protrusion of the first exterior component about a at least a portion of the second exterior component, interposing an elastic member between a peripheral surface of the first exterior component and an edge of the second exterior component, and positioning the elastic member beneath the protrusion of the first exterior component.

Structure of coupling portions of exterior parts

In a folding mobile radio device, a gain is lowered considerably in its close state under such a condition that an upper case is excited directly in its open state to aim at a wide band and a high gain is used as an antenna. A folding mobile radio device includes a first case, a second case, a jointing portion for connecting the first case and the second case to open/close, a conductor element arranged in the first case, and a feeding element arranged in the second case. Then, in an open state via the jointing portion, the conductor element and the feeding element come close to each other and are coupled magnetically at a time of feeding a power whereas, in a close state via the jointing portion, the conductor element and the feeding element are apart from each other rather than the open state and are not coupled magnetically at a time of feeding a power.
