A system and method for updating map data for updating map data for an autonomous vehicle (AV) is provided. The method includes collecting, using one or a plurality of AV sensors of a first AV, sensor data, and comparing the sensor data collected against map data for determining a presence of potential changed data. The method further includes generating a proof of work (PoW) block including the potential changed data, and collecting, using one or a plurality of AV sensors of a second AV, first verification sensor data. The potential changed data is then compared with the first verification sensor data for generating a first verified map block based on the first verification sensor data, and adding the first verified map block to a first verified map blockchain.

A transparent conductive laminate in which a transparent conductive layer (an ITO film) mainly comprising indium, tin and oxygen is formed on one main surface of a transparent substrate such as a polymeric film and which is excellent in moist heat resistance and scuff resistance and which can be applied to various kinds of transparent electrodes. The transparent conductive layer has a stable amorphous structure, and its resistivity is 1&times;l0 &OHgr;&middot;cm or less, and its electron mobility is 20 cm /(V&middot;sec) or more. This transparent conductive laminate can be prepared by forming an amorphous film mainly comprising indium, tin and oxygen and having a resistivity of more than 1&times;10 &OHgr;&middot;cm on the substrate by a sputtering process under a high oxygen concentration atmosphere, and then subjecting the film to a heat treatment in the range of 80 to 180&deg; C. to decrease the resistivity to 1&times;10 &OHgr;&middot;cm or less, while the amorphous structure is maintained. This transparent conductive laminate can suitably be utilized as the transparent electrode of an electroluminescence light-emitting element equipped with a layer containing zinc sulfide as a light-emitting layer, and in this case, the deterioration of luminance during continuous light emission can be remarkably inhibited.

A reflecting film has at least a transparent polymer film and a thin silver layer applied on the transparent polymer film to reflect light entered from a side of the transparent polymer film. The reflecting film retains a reflectance of at least 90% to visible light even after the reflector is exposed for 300 hours at a reflecting film temperature of 100.degree. C. and an exposure intensity of 500 mW/cm.sup.2 to artificial sunlight from which light of 390 nm and shorter in wavelength has been eliminated. For fabricating the reflecting film, a surface of the transparent polymer film is preferably treated with a metal-containing plasma, then the thin-silver layer is deposited on the treated surface. A reflector making use of the reflecting film is also disclosed.

Reflecting film and reflector making use of the same

Described are a stick-shaped soil fumigant preparation and an application method therefor. The fumigant preparation comprises a water-soluble and/or biodegradable film and a soil sterilizer and/or nematocide hermetically packed in the form of a stick with the film. The soil sterilizer and nematocide are each in a liquid form at room temperature. The soil fumigant preparation according to the present invention remains suppressed in toxicity, volatility and irritation before application to the soil, but its active ingredient(s) are promptly released after application. In addition, the present invention makes it possible to provide a fumigant in such a form as permitting a substantial improvement in the efficiency of work by a fumigating worker and also to provide an effective application method therefor, without the need for any machine designed exclusively for fumigation.

Soil fumigant preparations

A laminate using a polymeric molded article as a substrate and having a light transparency, gas barrier properties and an excellent alkali resistance. The laminate is obtainable by carrying out a surface treatment to deposit an oxide of at least one metal selected from the metal elements of groups 2, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the periodic table, and then forming a gas barrier layer such as oxides of silicon, nitrides of silicon and carbides of silicon on the treated surface. The gas barrier layer is not peeled off from the polymeric molded article even after being immersed in an alkali solution of pH 12 or more. The amount of the metal on the treated surface is preferably in the range of 5.times.10.sup.14 atoms/cm.sup.2 to 3.times.10.sup.16 atoms/cm.sup.2 in terms of the metal atoms per unit area. The practical performance of the laminate is not deteriorated during the patterning, by alkali etching, of a transparent conductive layer formed on the laminate.

Laminate and method for preparing same

A transparent panel heater which can be used for heating a window portion of liquid crystal displays, refrigerated showcases, freezed showcases, defrosters of windshields, and the like. The panel heater has a transparent substrate, a transparent conductive film formed on the substrate, a substantially light-transmittable metallic electrode-underling-layer formed on the transparent conductive film and a pair of metallic electrodes which are provided for electrifying the conductive film and formed on the electrode-underlying-layer. The transparent conductive film is a laminate of at least one transparent thin layer made of a nitride and/or a carbide and at least one substantially light-transmittable metallic layer. The transparent conductive film and electrode-underlying-layer are preferably formed by a dry process, and the electrodes are preferably formed by a wet plating method.

Transparent conductive laminate

A thin microcrystalline silicon semiconductor film suitable for use as an intrinsic semiconductor layer in an amorphous silicon solar cell or the like. The thin microcrystalline silicon semiconductor film comprises an amorphous phase with crystallites contained therein in the form of a prismatic or conical crystallite aggregate phase. Additional crystallites may be dispersed as individual crystallites in the amorphous phase. In the thin film, the crystalline fraction may preferably range from 5 to 80% and the crystallite size may preferably range from 2 to 1,000 nm. This thin film can be formed by first forming an initial film to a thickness in a range of from 2 nm to 100 nm at a deposition rate of from 0.01 nm/sec to 0.1 nm/sec on a substrate and then forming a principal film at a deposition rate of from 0.1 nm/sec to 2 nm/sec, for example, in accordance with RF plasma CVD.

Transparent panel heater

A circuit board for mounting one or more optical devices such as light receiving LSI chips and light emitting LSI chips. The circuit board has a flexible transparent substrate, a window portion which is formed as a slit-like transparent region of the transparent substrate, a plurality of electrodes for bonding the optical devices thereon provided on one surface of the substrate, a plurality of aggregated electrodes provided on the other surface on a region corresponding to the electrodes in a manner extending respectively in the longitudinal direction of the window portion and electrical connection portions penetrating the substrate. Each of the aggregated electrodes is electrically connected with two or more of the electrodes through the electrical connection portion. The circuit board will be used in, for example, an optical reader, an optical printer or the like in such a manner that the light which is coming in and/or going out of the optical device is transmitted through the window portion.

A transparent panel heater which can be used for heating a window portion of liquid crystal displays, refrigerated showcases, freezer showcases, defrosters of windshields, and the like. The panel heater has a transparent substrate, a transparent conductive film formed on the substrate, a substantially light-transmittable metallic thin layer formed on the conductive film and a pair of electrodes for electrifying the conductive film. The metallic thin layer is preferably deposited by a dry process such as a sputtering process, an ion plating method, various CVD methods, and the like. The electrodes are preferably formed on the metallic thin layer by a wet plating method.

Transparent panel heater and method for manufacturing same

The invention provides a circuit board for an optical element which is disposed in an optical reading apparatus or an optical writing apparatus and is used to irradiate document reading light upon an document or irradiate image writing light upon a photosensitive material through a lighting window thereof. The circuit board for an optical element comprises a transparent layer in the form of a film, one or a plurality of metal electrodes formed in a layered condition at a portion of a first principal surface of the transparent layer positioned on the light incidence side along the lighting window which is defined so as to extend perpendicularly to the moving direction of the document or the photosensitive material in order to transmit the light there through, and a conductive charge preventing layer a light intercepting property and formed at a portion of a second principal surface of the transparent layer, which is the opposite surface to the first principal surface of the transparent layer and is opposed to the original or the photosensitive material so as to define the lighting window. An optical reading element or a image writing optical element is mounted on the metal electrode or any of the metal electrodes.

Herein disclosed are organic thin film EL element having layer structures each of which comprises at least one organic thin film sandwiched between two electrodes, at least one of which is a metal thin film or one of which is a metal thin film and the other of which is a transparent conductive inorganic thin film, and an optional thin film of an inorganic semiconductor positioned between the transparent conductive thin film and the organic thin film, wherein an interfacial layer is fromed between the organic thin film and the metal thin film adjacent to the organic thin film by treating the organic thin film and/or the metal thin film with an organic phosphorus atom-containing compound; and/or wherein an interfacial layer is formed between the organic thin film and the inorganic thin film adjacent to the inorganic thin film by treating the organic thin film and/or the inorganic thin film with a silane-coupling agent. In the EL element, the metal thin film formed on the organic thin film has low unevenness, the metal thin film is strongly adhered to the organic thin film.

A planar reflector is composed of a base and a flexible substrate having a high reflection layer formed thereon and overlayed on the base with an adhesive layer interposed between the high reflection layer and the base. The adhesion strength between the base and the substrate is at least 100 g/cm, and the thickness of the adhesive layer is not smaller than 0.5 .mu.m but not greater than 50 .mu.m. A curved reflector can be obtained by bending the planar reflector so that a curved surface having a radius of curvature not greater than 5 mm is formed presenting a concave surface on a side of the flexible substrate.
