A method for producing low-carbon ferromanganese capable of achieving a high Mn yield. In producing low-carbon ferromanganese by blowing an oxidizing gas from a top-blowing lance onto a bath face of high-carbon ferromanganese molten metal accommodated in a reaction vessel provided with a top-blowing lance and bottom-blowing tuyere to perform decarburization, the slag composition during the blowing is adjusted so that a value of (CaO+MgO)/(AlO+SiO) on a mass basis in the slag composition is not less than 0.4 but not more than 5.0. Also, agitation is performed under a condition that an agitation power density ε of an agitation gas blown through the bottom-blowing tuyere is not less than 500 W/t.

Method for producing low-carbon ferromanganese

A top-blowing lance nozzle is configured to freely switch an adequate expansion condition so as to control an oxygen-blowing amount and a jetting velocity independently of each other without requiring a plurality of lance nozzles or a mechanically movable part. A lance nozzle is configured to blow refining oxygen to molten iron charged in a reaction vessel while a gas is blown from a top-blowing lance to the molten iron. One or more blowing holes for blowing a working gas are on an inner wall side surface of the nozzle, at a site where the lance nozzle has a minimum cross-sectional area in a nozzle axis direction or at a neighboring site of the site.

In a method for oxygen-blowing refining of molten iron, an oxygen-containing gas as a main supply gas is supplied from an inlet side of a blowing nozzle for the oxygen-containing gas passing through an outer shell of the top-blowing lance and blown from the blowing nozzle while a control gas is jetted toward inside of the blowing nozzle for at least part of a period of the oxygen-blowing refining from a spout arranged in a side face of the nozzle at a site where the cross-sectional area of the nozzle minimum takes the minimum in the axial direction of the nozzle or a neighborhood thereof so that at least part of the spout exists in each space formed by dividing into two portions by an arbitrary plane passing through a central axis of the nozzle.

Optical fiber connector

An optical connector plug is comprised of a pair of divided front and rear housings formed generally in a quadrilateral tubular shape for receiving a ferrule to hold an optical fiber. A housing, one of the housings is provided with engagement openings on at least opposite wall portions thereof, and the other housing is provided with engagement projections on its opposite wall portions to be engaged in the engagement openings. Furthermore, fitting projections are formed in the longitudinal direction on the wall portions in which the engagement openings are formed, and fitting recesses to be fitted with the fitting projections are formed in the wall portions on which the engagement projections are formed. The pair of housings are firmly joined to each other by engaging the engagement projections with the engagement openings and by fitting and engaging the fitting projections in the fitting recesses.
