A method for trouble managing in equipment is provided, with which optimal timing of repairing the equipment and occurrence of malfunction probable to occur concurrently with present malfunction or later stage can be inferred with sufficient accuracy, and which can be adopted for large-scale equipment used in a plant. The method for trouble managing of equipment by monitoring operation condition of the equipment with a monitoring means and inferring cause of malfunction of the equipment by an inference means which infers the cause of the malfunction using measured data concerning the operation condition obtained by the monitoring means when malfunctions occur as nodes of the inference means, comprises selecting acoustic data most similar to sound emitted from the equipment in which malfunction has occurred from among a plurality of acoustic data provide beforehand, selecting morphologic data most similar to a pattern of operating condition in the equipment from among a plurality of morphologic data provide beforehand, adding the selected acoustic data and the selected morphologic data to the nodes, and performing inference of cause of the malfunction of the equipment by a first Bayesian network base on the nodes.

A lifetime evaluating system includes a digitalizing unit, an acquiring unit and a determining unit. The digitalizing unit digitizes an original metallographic image of a mechanical element to form a digital image. The acquiring unit acquires a plurality of labels from the digital image. Here, each of the plurality of labels is a set of pixels with a predetermined property. The determining unit classifies the plurality of labels into a class of voids and a class of non-voids based on evaluation data. A lifetime of the mechanical element is determined based on a number of labels in the void class and a size of each of the labels in the void class.

The damage evaluation method of a metal material by the present invention is a method for evaluating a flaw in the metal sample comprising the steps of mounting onto a metal surface including an internal flaw and on both sides of the flaw a transmitting probe for transmitting an ultrasonic waves and a receiving probe for receiving the ultrasonic waves, transmitting the ultrasonic waves towards the internal flaw and receiving the diffracted wave from the flaw for determining whether or not a flaw is present in the metal, based on the analysis of the distribution of the diffracted waves and an analysis of the sample as to whether voids (creep voids) are present and, if present, the distribution of the voids.

Method and apparatus for evaluating damage of metal material

An object is to provide a heat-resistant steel which can be produced at a low cost but possesses an excellent high-temperature strength. A high-strength heat-resistant steel is provided which comprises C in an amount of 0.06 to 0.15% by weight, Si in an amount of 1.5% by weight or less, Mn in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5% by weight, V in an amount of 0.05 to 0.3% by weight, and at least one of Nb, Ti, Ta, Hf, and Zr, in an amount of 0.01 to 0.1% by weight, the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, wherein the high-strength heat-resistant steel has a structure consisting mainly of a bainite structure.

High-strength heat-resistant steel and process for producing high-strength heat-resistant steel

This invention relates to welding materials for high-Cr steels which exhibit higher toughness and improved creep characteristics. Specifically, this invention relates to a welding material for high-Cr steels which contains, on a weight percentage basis, 0.03 to 0.12% C, up to 0.3% Si, 0.2 to 1.5% Mn, up to 0.02% P, up to 0.01% S, 8 to 13% Cr, 0.5 to 3% Mo, up to 0.75% Ni, 0.15 to 0.3% V, up to 0.01% Nb, 0.05 to 0.3% Ta, 0.1 to 2.5% W, 0.01 to 0.75% Cu, up to 0.03% Al, 0.002 to 0.005% B, up to 0.015% N, and up to 0.01% O, the balance being Fe and incidental impurities. It also relates to such welding materials wherein W is optionally excluded from the aforesaid composition, wherein W is excluded and 0.1 to 3% Co is added, or wherein 0.1 to 3% Co is added to the aforesaid composition.
