A separator for fuel cell includes a corrugated portion formed to have a corrugated cross section where a first groove that is concave to a first surface to form a flow path for a first fluid on the first surface and a second groove that is concave to a second surface opposite to the first surface to form a flow path for a second fluid on the second surface are arranged alternately and repeatedly. Each of the second grooves has at least one shallower groove section formed to have a less depth from the second surface than depth of a remaining groove section and provided to form a communication flow channel on the first surface side, which is arranged to communicate between two flow path spaces for the first fluid that are adjacent to each other across the shallower groove section.

Separator for fuel cell, fuel cell and method of manufacturing fuel cell

An ion exchanger includes a lower casing, an upper casing, and a cartridge. The lower casing includes an upper opening and a circumferential wall, which includes an intake port and a discharge port. The upper casing includes a lid, which is arranged on the opening of the lower casing, and a cylinder, which extends downward from the lid and is accommodated in the circumferential wall. The cartridge, which is provided integrally with the inner side of the cylinder, accommodates an ion exchange resin. The cylinder includes a communication hole, through which the inner side of the cylinder is in communication with the intake port. The upper casing includes an accumulation limiting structure that limits the air remaining immediately below the lower surface of the lid in the upper casing after flowing into the cylinder together with coolant.

A discharge port is located at a lower portion of the case of a gas-liquid separator. A discharge valve is located at the discharge port. A water retaining portion is located at the bottom of the case. The water retaining portion is located at a position lower than the discharge valve. An upward inclination surface is formed on the bottom of the water retaining portion. The upward inclination surface is inclined upward toward the discharge valve. A downward inclination surface is formed on the bottom of the water retaining portion. The downward inclination surface is inclined downward toward the upward inclination surface. A cover portion is located in an upper portion of the water retaining portion. The cover portion defines a gas passage in an upper portion of the water retaining portion. The gas passage is open at a portion closer to the inlet and connected to the discharge valve.

Provided is a filter for removing a sulfur-containing-gas (), which removes the sulfur-containing-gas by being brought into contact with the sulfur-containing-gas in a gas flow path, the filter including a former filter () disposed on an upstream side of the gas flow path, and a latter filter () disposed on a downstream side of the gas flow path, wherein the former filter () includes a first material for removing a sulfur-containing-gas, the first material including a porous support, and iodine which is supported on the porous support, and is produced by catalytic pyrolysis of ammonium iodide at a thermal decomposition ratio of 80% or more by use of the porous support as a catalyst, and the latter filter () includes a second material for removing a sulfur-containing-gas, the second material including an activated carbon fiber, and an alkali component which is supported on the activated carbon fiber.

An ion-removing apparatus includes a housing, a first ion-removing unit and a second ion-removing unit. The housing includes an inlet port, a liquid discharge port and a gas discharge port. The first ion-removing unit is disposed within the housing, so that the fluid that has entered the housing via the inlet port flows through the first ion-removing unit. The first ion-removing unit serves to remove a first ion, such anions, contained in the fluid. The second ion-removing unit is disposed within the housing, so that the fluid that has flown though the first ion-removing unit flows through the first ion-removing unit. The second ion-removing unit serves to remove a second ion, such as cations contained in the fluid. The liquid contained in the fluid that has flown through the second ion-removing unit is discharged from the liquid discharge port. The gas contained in the fluid that has flown through the second ion-removing unit is discharged from the gas discharge port.

Ion-removing apparatus

A gas-removing device serves to remove impurity gases from the air supplied to a fuel cell via an air supply system. The gas-removing device includes a porous material and an alternate adsorption membrane. The porous material has micropores formed therein in order to absorb impurity gas particles contained in the air. The alternate adsorption membrane is formed on the inner walls of the micropores of the porous material in order to further adsorb and retain at least one type of impurity gas particles from among the impurity gas particles absorbed by the porous material. The alternate adsorption membrane includes at least one positively charged layer and at least one negatively charged layer laid alternately to one another.
