A radiography apparatus is constituted by an image pickup unit including an X-ray source for irradiating cone shaped X-ray beams to a patient under examination and an image receptor disposed opposite the x-ray source for receiving x-ray image data of the patient by the irradiated cone shaped x-ray beam; a cylindrical ring which carries the image pickup unit, defines a sufficient space to receive the patient therein so as to permit relative positional change of the patient with respect to the image pickup unit and is supported so as to permit rotation around its center axis; a second arm, an image pickup unit; a first video image processing unit; a second video image processing unit; and a change-over device which changes-over the x-ray image data obtained from the image pickup unit either to the first video image processing unit or to the second video image processing unit, whereby a three-dimensional x-ray image of the patient is obtained depending on necessity during an IVR while temporarily resting or interrupting the IVR.

Radiography apparatus with rotatably supported cylindrical ring carrying image pickup unit

An image capture apparatus optically scans a document as the document is being transported, and includes transporting means, a read section including first and second plates, detecting means, and actuator means. The transporting means moves documents along a predetermined path. The first and second plates face each other and guide a document received from the transporting means. At least one of the first and second plates defines an aperture therein through which light from a light source is directed onto a prescribed region of the document in motion therebetween. The detecting means detects the thickness of the document moving along the predetermined path, and generates an output drive control signal representative of the thickness of the document. The actuator means is responsive to the drive control signals from the drive control means for moving at least one of the aperture plates in a direction that is perpendicular to a document scanning surface. The movement of the actuator means provides a minimum space between the document and the first and second plates that still allows passage of the document therebetween without the document oscillating from side to side or becoming wrinkled. The permits documents to be scanned and produce images thereof without distortion or blurring.

The threshold value is based on the average value of pixel density values around the pixels to be binarized, and is corrected downward when the average density value of the surrounding pixels is larger than a specific boundary value, and upward when the average value is smaller than the said boundary value.
