Electronic device and method for attaching light guide lens

A pickup head is provided with a second shaft receiving section. A cutout is formed in the second shaft receiving section. A sub shaft supports the pickup head in a movable manner via the second shaft receiving section. A diameter of the sub shaft is smaller than the size of the cutout. A retainer is attached between the second shaft receiving section and the sub shaft. The retainer includes a body section and a pressing section. The body section enters the cutout in a state that a slide groove of the body section slidably fits to the sub shaft. The pressing section is elastically deformed upon contact with the sub shaft when the body section enters the cutout, and biases the second shaft receiving section via the body section such that a lower surface of the cutout is pressed against the sub shaft.

Optical disk device

A disk unit includes a tray having one side portion thereof cut off so that a disk placed on the tray has a portion protruding therefrom, a housing which the tray is inserted into or ejected from, and an air current control member having a curved surface. The housing includes a first portion for housing the tray and a second portion for covering the protruding portion of the disk. The air current control member is provided in the second portion of the housing so as to have the curved surface opposing a peripheral edge of the disk moved into the housing.

Downsized disk unit with reduced noise

A disc device has a movable mechanism used for moving a carriage carrying a disc so that the carriage either projects from an apparatus or is inserted into the apparatus. The disc carried by the carriage is exposed for an operator to handle the disc when the carriage projects from the apparatus. The disc carried by the carriage is contained in the apparatus after the carriage has been inserted into the apparatus. A rotating unit rotates the disc carried by the carriage and an accessing unit accesses the disc carried by the carriage. The disc device is incorporated into the apparatus. A locking mechanism locks the carriage in the apparatus, and a releasing unit causes the locking mechanism to release locking of the carriage in the apparatus. The releasing unit causes the rotating unit to stop rotating of the disc and also causes the accessing unit to stop accessing the disc, prior to each time the releasing unit causes the locking mechanism to release locking of the carriage in the apparatus. The locking mechanism is contained in the carriage.

Disc device having a chassis and movable tray part including a turntable

A disk device includes a chassis having a printed circuit board provided therein. A moving unit on which a recording disk is held has a sub-chassis and electrical parts on the sub-chassis, the moving unit being movably supported on the chassis so that the moving unit is movable between an inserted position and a disk-change position in an insert direction and an eject direction. A first connector is arranged on the sub-chassis of the moving unit, the first connector being electrically coupled to the electrical parts of the moving unit. A flexible printed circuit cable has a first connector portion fitted to the first connector so that the electrical parts of the moving unit are electrically connected to the printed circuit board of the chassis, the first connector portion being arranged under the sub-chassis of the moving unit.
