A camera system () is provided which includes an interchangeable lens () including a group of lenses (L, L, L, L) for imaging an object, and a camera () to which the interchangeable lens () is to be installed. The camera () includes a correction angle information calculating means () for calculating correction angle information as to the posture of the camera (), and a first sending means () for sending calculated correction angle information to the interchangeable lens (). The interchangeable lens () includes the lens (L) which optically corrects angular shift on the basis of the correction angle information sent by the first sending means ().

An apparatus for recording information, which comprises a one-dimensional diode array () constituted with a plurality of laser diodes arranged in a line, a modulation control signal generator () for supplying the laser diodes constituting the one-dimensional diode array with modulation control signals based on information to be recorded, and an optical system () for causing laser light beams obtained from the one-dimensional diode array to be incident upon an optical tape (), wherein said optical system is operative to focus the laser light beams which have been modulated in response to the modulation control signals and obtained from the one-dimensional diode array so that geometric optical images of the modulated light beams are reduced over the diffraction limit thereof on the optical tape. Accordingly, when information recording on the optical tape or information reproduction from the optical tape is carried out with the laser light beams incident upon the optical tape, difficulties in determining and maintaining positional relations among various optical means can be reduced and the coefficient of utilization of the laser light beams can be improved.

In an apex-angle variable prism comprising a combination of a planoconcave lens and a planoconvex lens, at least one lens is simply and stably rotated along the spherical surfaces of these lens by using a compact actuator. In order to rotate the planoconvex lens along the spherical surface of the planoconcave lens, the one end of the planoconvex lens is supported by a pivot bearing disposed on the rotational center line X.sub.2 which passes through the center O.sub.2 of the radius of curvature of the sphere of the planoconvex lens, and the other end of the planoconvex lens is rotated along the rotational reference plane Z perpendicular to the rotational center line X.sub.2 by using a compact DC motor.

Apex-angle variable prism and video camera

An image stabilizing optical device including an optical system having a first lens located on an object side and a second lens located on an imaging lens side. The first lens and the second lens are opposed to each other with a small space defined therebetween. Opposed surfaces of the first lens and the second lens have the same curvature. The image stabilizing optical device further includes a rotating mechanism located on the same center of curvature of the first and second lenses, for moving the second lens independently in two perpendicular axial directions in a plane perpendicular to an optical axis of the optical system; and a shake detecting mechanism for detecting shakes in the two perpendicular axial directions. The optical system is located in front of an imaging lens of an imaging device in proximity to the imaging lens. The rotating mechanism is driven according to a result of detection from the shake detecting mechanism to control an optical path of light incident on the optical system. Accordingly, image shake due to shaky hand movements in the imaging device can be effectively performed.

Image stabilizing optical device

A doublet lens which, on being inserted between the light rays, can perform deviation correction in an afocal state without its focal length being changed. The doublet lens is arranged so that, if the radius of curvature of the concave surface of a plano-concave lens 10X is r1, the refractive index of the plano-concave lens 10X is n1, the magnitude of a gap between the plano-concave lens and the plano-convex lens is .DELTA., the refractive index of the gap is n2, the radius of curvature of the convex surface of a plano-convex lens 10Y is r2 and the refractive index of the plano-convex lens 10Y is n3, the following relation: ##EQU1## is met. The angle between opposite planar surfaces is changed by rotating the plano-convex mirror, for example, of the doublet lens about its center of curvature as the center of rotation.

The invention provides an image stabilizer by which, even where it is applied to an image stabilizing optical apparatus which employs an optical axis angle variation mechanism in which an optical system of the afocal type is employed, problems of interference with an imaging optical system and so forth can be solved. A plano-concave lens and a plano-convex lens form an optical system of the afocal type. A turning shaft supports the plano-concave lens for turning movement in a plane perpendicular to an optical system of the optical system while a turning shaft supports the plano-convex lens for turning movement in another plane perpendicular to the optical axis. A pair of shaking detectors, a calculation section, a pair of drive circuits, and a pair of drive motors drive the plano-concave lens and plano-convex lens to turn to compensate for or cancel hand-shaking of the optical system.

A video signal from a camera portion is supplied as moving picture data to a moving picture recording portion. The video signal is recorded by the moving picture recording portion with a time code attached thereto. The video signal from the camera portion is supplied to a series circuit of frame memories. The video signal is read from the memories every frame interval and supplied to a comparison calculation portion. In the comparison calculation portion, a change in scene is detected by comparison calculation (judgment of existence of correlation) of video signals having a time difference of one frame therebetween and the detection information of the change in scene is supplied to a controller. When a change in scene is detected, a one-frame portion of video signal is read from the memory under the control of the controller and the read signal is supplied to a still picture recording portion as still picture data to be recorded thereby. At this time, the one-frame portion of video signal is recorded together with a time code which is attached to the one-frame portion of video signal when it is recorded by the moving picture recording portion.

Apparatus for recording image data representative of cuts in a video

An image out put system including an image printer 53 for printing images on a lenticular lens sheet 16 and a computer for controlling the image printer 53, while a plurality of images are being superimposition printed on the lenticular lens sheet 16, by making the size and the feed for each pixel smaller in the first direction so as to superimpose pixels when printing, or by narrowing the shape of each pixel in this first direction and then reducing the feed for each pixel by the portion by which each of the pixels have been narrowed. It is possible to make the number of pixels per unit length of the first direction large.

Image output apparatus

The invention provides an image outputting method and apparatus by which an optimum stereoscopic display can be obtained upon visual observation of a plurality of parallax images through a lenticular lens device. In order to allow stereoscopic vision of images through a plurality of lenticular lenses arranged at a predetermined pitch p, picture element data photographed from different points of view are successively outputted for each set of n picture elements for one pitch of the lenticular lenses. The pitch of each set of picture element data corresponding to one lenticular lens is set greater than the arrangement pitch p of the lenticular lenses by an increment .epsilon. which substantially satisfies .epsilon./p=.DELTA./W where .DELTA. is the distance between a pair of small image portions under the lenticular lens device which are visually observed separately by the two eyes through one of the lenticular lenses, and W is the pupil distance of the observer.

Method of and apparatus for outputting images

A camera having an electronic flash that is energized on the basis of a release signal comprises a control unit for controlling an amount of a light emitted from the electronic flash, a measuring unit for measuring an amount of a light incident thereon through a lens system, and a memory for storing data indicative of the light amount measured by the measuring unit. The control unit controls the electronic flash in such a manner that, after the electronic flash is energized during a first period of time when the release signal is input, on the basis of data stored in the memory and light reading data measured by the measuring unit when the electronic flash is energized during the first period of time, the electronic flash is re-energized only during a second period of time.
