Disclosed is a hair conditioning composition comprising: a cationic surfactant system comprising a mono-long alkyl cationic surfactant and a di-long alkyl cationic surfactant; a high melting point fatty compound; a direct dye; a nonionic thickening polymer having a viscosity of the aqueous solution with 2% of the nonionic thickening polymer being from about 1,000 to about 300,000 m&#xb7;Pa, at 25&#xb0; C.; and an aqueous carrier; wherein the composition has a pH of above 4.5 to about 9.0. The composition of the present invention provides improved product stability and color stability, while providing conditioning benefits and coloring benefits.

Hair conditioning composition comprising cationic surfactant system, direct dye, and nonionic thickener

Disclosed is a hair care composition comprising: a specific aminosilicone; a solvent for the aminosilicone; wherein the composition is for leave-on use; and wherein the composition has a turbidity of 2.0 NTU or less. The compositions of the present invention provide improved dry conditioning benefits such as reduced friction.

Disclosed are hair or skin conditioning compositions comprising by weight: (a) from about 0.1% to about 10% of a thickening polymer system; (b) from about 0.1% to about 8.0% of a surfactant system selected from the group consisting of cationic surfactant, nonionic surfactant, and mixtures thereof; (c) from about 0.1% to about 10% of a hydrophobically modified amido silicone copolyol; and (d) an aqueous carrier; wherein the composition has a transmittance of 25% or more and/or wherein the composition has a viscosity of from about 1,000 cps to about 50,000 cps and Shear Thinning Index of 30 or more. The compositions are especially suitable for hair care products such as hair conditioning products for rinse-off/leave-on use.

Hair or skin conditioning compositions comprising hydrophobically modified amido silicone copolyol

A conditioning composition containing an aminosilicone having a viscosity of from about 1,000 cs to about 1,000,000 cs, and less than about 0.5% nitrogen by weight of the aminosilicone, a cationic surfactant, a high melting point fatty compound, and an aqueous carrier. These compositions may optionally comprise a low viscosity fluid. The present invention is further directed to a method of making the conditioning composition and a method of using the conditioning composition.

Disclosed are conditioning compositions comprising by weight: (a) from about 0.1% to about 10% of a cationic surfactant; (b) from about 0.05% to about 10% of a water-soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of a water-soluble anionic polymer, a water-soluble amphoteric polymer, and mixtures thereof; (c) from about 1.0% to about 10% of a high melting point fatty compound; and (d) an aqueous carrier; wherein the cationic surfactant and the polymer from a water-soluble complex; and wherein the cationic surfactant and the high melting point fatty compound from a gel matrix. The compositions are especially suitable for hair care products such as hair conditioning products for rinse-off use.
