Waterproof type substrate housing case

A second seal material is coated on an annular seal surface constituted by a partition wall of a connector housing and a three-sided outer peripheral surface of a cover, and is joined with an annular base outer peripheral surface on the base, and the cover and the base are integrated with fastening screws at the four corners, and hold the three sides of a circuit board therebetween. Fastening surfaces of the base are embossed with a first depth so that bending strength is reinforced whereby a stable seal gap is generated, and corner outer walls and a connection outer wall are disposed at four corners and one side of the cover, so as to generate a retention gap to prevent outflow of the second seal material.

Electronic apparatus unit

Upon disposing the connector housing, thinning of the waterproof sealing material due to scraping is compensated by a replenishing end section of waterproof sealing material that is applied to the replenishing inclined surface sections. As a result, sealing performance is improved while allowing for a simple mold construction of the connector housing and the cover without the need for auxiliary seal grooves.

Waterproof-type control unit and assembly method thereof

In a waterproof control unit in which a part of a connector housing mounted on a circuit board is exposed and the circuit board is hermetically housed in a casing including a base and a cover, a sealing gap between the cover and the connector housing is defined between fitting surfaces of a first concave thread and a first convex thread, and a waterproof sealing material is applied to the sealing gap. A waterproof sealing material is applied to the latter sealing gap. Each of the sealing gaps extends inward and outward across an inner boundary surface of a partition wall of the connector housing. Plane movement of each of the sealing gaps is restricted by side-surface convex threads and side-surface concave threads.

Waterproof control unit and method of assembling the same

A waterproof control unit is provided in which: connector housing is fixedly positioned onto circuit board that is mounted onto base; a first seal gap Gformed of the connector housing and a cover, a second seal gap Gformed of the connector housing and the base and a third seal gap Gformed of the base and the cover are included; the first seal gap Gis formed of a terrace slope portion gap Gand an outer step flat portion gap Gand an inner step flat portion gap Gthat are in communication with the terrace slope portion gap G; a gap setting protrusion for limiting the gap width is provided at least in the first seal gap G; and, between the connector housing and the cover, a horizontal movement limitation member are provided for limiting the relative positional relationship between the connector housing and the cover.

In a waterproof control unit (A) in which a part of a connector housing (A) mounted on a circuit board (A) is exposed and the circuit board (A) is hermetically housed in a casing including a base (A) and a cover (A), in a gap between the cover and the connector housing, a waterproof sealing material () is applied to a first sealing gap defined by outer-step flat portions (), slope portions (), and inner-step flat portions (), and in a gap between the base (A) and the connector housing (A) or between the base (A) and the cover (A), a waterproof sealing material () is applied to a second or third sealing gap defined by convexoconcave sealing surfaces having a convex thread loosely fitted into a concave thread.
