An illumination device for a multineedle sewing machine includes an illuminating member which has a light source and located at a lateral side of a needle bar case and is disposed so as to open portions of needle bars and portions of needles, a light amount adjusting unit which adjusts an amount of light of the light source, and a control unit which controls the light amount adjusting unit with movement of the needle bar case by the needle bar case moving mechanism together with the illuminating member so that a predetermined illuminance is maintained at least in part of an illuminated area which is illuminated by the light source. The part of the illuminated area is located near the needle drop position.

An illumination device for a multineedle sewing machine is disclosed. The sewing machine includes a plurality of needle bars having lower ends to which needles are attached respectively and a needle bar case supporting the needle bars so that the needle bars are movable upward and downward. The illumination device includes an illuminating member having a light source, and a support unit located in the needle bar case for supporting the illuminating member so that the illuminating member is switchable between an illuminating position where the illuminating member is located in front of the needle bars or the needles to illuminate a periphery of a needle point of the needle location point of the needle by the light source and a storage position where the illuminating member opens a front side of the needle bar or the needle and is located laterally with respect to the needle bar case.

An embroidery data processor includes an embroidery data storage that stores embroidery data for sewing embroidery patterns by an embroiderable sewing machine; an embroidery data preparator that prepares the embroidery data of the embroidery patterns to be sewn by reading the embroidery data from the embroidery data storage or by receiving the embroidery data from external source; and a data generator that generates temporary stitch data for temporarily sewing an interlining on an underside of a workpiece cloth prior to embroidery sewing based on the embroidery data prepared by the embroidery data preparator.

A circular stitching device for a sewing machine includes a body base attachable to a sewing bed or an upper surface of a needle plate, a movable base located on the body base so as to be movable in a predetermined direction, a cloth fixing member including a cloth-fixing pin which is passable through a workpiece cloth and is formed with an engagement portion, and a holder holding a proximal end of the cloth-fixing pin, a cloth-fixing pin support detachably attachable to the movable base thereby to support the cloth fixing member so that the cloth fixing member is detachably attachable thereto, and a locking unit which is located on the cloth-fixing pin support and is disengageably engageable with the engagement portion of the cloth-fixing pin, thereby locking the cloth-fixing pin.

A template for circular sewing is used for repeatedly sewing a single pattern into a circular arrangement with use of a sewing machine equipped with a circular sewing device. The template includes a transparent sheet member having a center point, a plurality of arc-shaped base lines arranged in a concentric pattern about the center point of the sheet member, and a plurality of linear pattern pitch measurement lines which are provided for measuring a pitch of the patterns and which are arranged on the sheet member so as to pass through the center point of the sheet member and across the arc-shaped base lines. A total number of patterns is indicated near to an end of the template. The total number of patterns is obtained when a pattern with a pitch substantially coinciding with one of the pattern pitch measurement lines has been sewn into a circular arrangement.

A circular stitcher for a sewing machine having a bed and a needle plate, and a feed dog includes a base attachable to an upper surface of the bed or the needle plate; a pin support seized movably in a predetermined direction by the base and having an engagement subject; a pin having an engagement engagable with the engagement subject of the pin support and a needle that pierces a workpiece cloth from an underside of the workpiece cloth at a laterally spaced position from a needle drop point, the needle assuming a center of rotational cloth feed executed by the feed dog during circular stitching; and a lock mechanism provided in the pin support and releasably locking the engagement and the engagement subject together.
