A head-mounted device capable of more highly accurately measuring the physical conditions of a wearer as a worker that are necessary for estimating the possibility of heat stroke is provided. A head-mounted device includes an outer shell; a first channel as a gap between a head of a wearer and the outer shell; a second channel provided in the outer shell and connected to the first channel; a fan configured to send air from one of the first channel and the second channel to the other; a salinity sensor configured to measure salt concentration of sweat of the wearer; a first humidity sensor configured to measure an absolute humidity of intake air entering one of the first channel and the second channel; and a second humidity sensor configured to measure an absolute humidity of exhaust air exiting from the other of the first channel and the second channel.

Head-mounted device, heat stroke prevention system, and rehydration warning system

A head-mounted device includes: an outer shell; a first flow channel that is a gap between a head of a wearer and the outer shell; a second flow channel provided in the outer shell and joining the first flow channel; a fan configured to blow air from one of the first flow channel and the second flow channel to the other of the first flow channel and the second flow channel; a first humidity sensor configured to measure an absolute humidity of intake air entering one of the first flow channel and the second flow channel; and a second humidity sensor configured to measure an absolute humidity of exhaust air exiting from the other of the first flow channel and the second flow channel.

A rotary drum of the folding device includes a reference portion having a rotating shaft and a basic body rotated integrally with the rotating shaft an adjusted portion able to be rotated integrally with the reference portion and arranged so as to be displaced with respect to the reference portion; an adjusting operation mechanism having a driving source for displacing the adjusted portion with respect to the reference portion, a power source arranged in the reference portion, a control board additionally arranged in the driving source and having a wireless receiving function, and a wireless operation machine for wirelessly transmitting an operation signal to the control board; and an adjusting transmission mechanism for transmitting a movement of the driving source to the adjusted portion; wherein electric power is supplied from the power source to the driving source, and the driving source is operated by a wireless signal from the adjusting operation mechanism.

Rotary drum of folding device

An apparatus splices a web of paper being paid out from a one web roll and fed into a printing press to another web roll being rotated in a splicing position. The new web roll of any diameter is spaced a prescribed distance from the old web traveling along a predefined path into the press. A sensor positioning mechanism adjustably moves a photoelectric web roll speed sensor along two orthogonal axes to an optimum sensing position with respect to the new web roll regardless of its diameter. An electronic control circuit has an input connected to a speed sensor for the old web traveling along the predefined path, and another to the photoelectric speed sensor for the new web roll, for energizing a new web roll drive motor according to a departure of the peripheral speed of the new web roll from the running speed of the old web.

At least two pairs of carrier arms are mounted to a rotary shaft for independent travel axially thereof while being constrained to joint rotation therewith. Each pair of carrier arms are disposed opposite each other axially of the shaft for rotatably holding one web roll therebetween via expansion chucks. An internally screw-threaded sleeve is rotatably mounted to each carrier arm and locked against axial displacement relative to the carrier arm. Rotatably supported on the shaft and extending parallel to its axis, a screw-threaded rod extends through, and is threadedly engaged with, the sleeves on each pair of carrier arms. A reversible electric motor is drivingly coupled to each threaded nut, and an additional similar motor to each threaded rod. Each pair of carrier arms are therefore not only independently movable toward and away from each other, as for chucking a web roll therebetween, but, together with the chucked web roll, jointly movable in either axial direction of the shaft for accurately positioning the web roll thereon.
