A gas separation method is provided. The method includes using a gas separation apparatus comprising a selective permeable membrane and a first and second treatment chambers separated by the selective permeable membrane. A mixed gas containing a gas to be separated is supplied into (or generated within) the first treatment chamber, and the gas to be separated is separated from the mixed gas by having the gas to be separated permeate from the first/second treatment chamber side of the selective permeable membrane, which has a stacked laminated structure of a hydrophilic porous membrane, a separation-functional layer, and a first protective membrane, and the separation-functional layer includes a layer of hydrophilic polymer containing water, and the first treatment chamber is provided on a hydrophilic porous membrane side of the selective permeable membrane and the second treatment chamber is provided on the first protective membrane side of the selective permeable membrane.

Gas separation method and apparatus

A gas separation apparatus includes a separation membrane module including at least one gas separation membrane element in a housing, a casing for blocking external air, and a heat source unit for adjusting a temperature of a heat medium with which the casing is filled. Power generation system

Provided is a facilitated COtransport membrane having an improved COpermeance and an improved CO/Hselectivity. The facilitated COtransport membrane includes a separation-functional membrane that includes a hydrophilic polymer gel membrane containing a COcarrier and a COhydration catalyst. Further preferably, the COhydration catalyst at least has catalytic activity at a temperature of 100&#xb0; C. or higher, has a melting point of 200&#xb0; C. or higher, or is soluble in water.

Provided is a facilitated COtransport membrane having improved COpermeance and improved COselective permeability. The facilitated COtransport membrane includes a separation-functional membrane comprising a hydrophilic polymer gel membrane which contains a COcarrier and a COhydration catalyst, wherein the hydrophilic polymer is a copolymer including a first structural unit derived from an acrylic acid cesium salt or an acrylic acid rubidium salt and a second structural unit derived from vinyl alcohol. More preferably, the COhydration catalyst has catalytic activity at a temperature of 100&#xb0; C. or higher.
