There is provided a cancer therapeutic instrument for use in treatment of cancer and tumor. According to such an instrument, the affected part is irradiated effectively with activation light thereby obtaining an effect of the light treatment. The cancer therapeutic instrument is equipped with a tube of which a tip is closed, a tip end of the tube being adapted to be inserted into a subject to be treated, and an optical fiber of which a tip end is adapted to be disposed slidably inside the tube.

Cancer therapeutic instrument

A remotely installed transmitter capable of clearly picking up only the voice of a person who is talking despite being installed away from the speaker's mouth and without causing feedback despite increased sensitivity, and a hands-free two-way voice terminal device using such a transmitter. In the remotely installed transmitter, a bidirectional microphone is installed at a central position of two pipes, two sound pick-up chambers are formed on both the right side and the left side of the pipes, the two sound pick-up chambers are stuffed with a sound-absorbing material, the shapes and sizes of the sound pick-up chambers are determined so that minimum voice resonance frequencies of the two sound pick-up chambers when they are not stuffed with the sound-absorbing material are both higher than the used upper-limit frequency of voice of the transmitter, and the amount of the sound-absorbing material is adjusted so that the voice frequency characteristics acquire monotonous attenuation characteristics in a voice frequency band higher than the used upper-limit frequency of voice.

A marine fender has high bonding strength between a high-slip synthetic resin plate such as an ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene plate and a rubber fender member, and quite long life-time of the high-slip synthetic resin plate . The high-slip synthetic resin plate and a rubber layer are previously welded to each other. The high-slip synthetic resin with the rubber layer and the rubber fender member are welded to each other by vulcanization. In this way, the marine fender is made.

Method of treating cancer

In a marine fender with a structure for fixing a pad to a fender frame, the pad has at least one concavity formed in a front surface thereof, and a pad hole piercing the pad from a bottom of the concavity. A bolt with a head is inserted from a front side of the pad through the pad and fender holes, and a nut is disposed at a rear side of the fender frame to engage the bolt to thereby fix the pad to the fender frame. A washer is interposed between the head of the bolt and the bottom of the concavity. In case the bolt is attached to the fender frame, the nut is disposed in the concavity of the pad to engage the bolt, and the washer is interposed between the nut and the bottom of the concavity. In either case, the washer is disposed in the concavity such that a rim of the washer engages an inner periphery of the concavity to prevent rotation with each other. The head of the bolt or nut is joined to the washer.

An ambient noise suppression electrical circuit to be used with a voice communication terminal comprising a gain control amplifier, whose input is a microphone, and a peak-hold circuit that includes a band-pass amplifier that amplifies a specified frequency range of the output signals of the microphone, a peak detection circuit that produces signals in proportion to the peak level of the output signals of the band-pass amplifier, and a holding circuit that controls reduction of output signals of the peak detection circuit for a specified period of time. The output signal from the peak-hold circuit controls the gain of the gain control amplifier. When a microphone is located far from a mouth and is used under high ambient noise, the present invention makes it possible for the microphone to perform as if it is a microphone which is located in a quality telephone handset that cuts off ambient noise.

Ambient noise suppression circuit

A one piece two way voice communications earset which is situated in or at the ear of the user and which includes either two unidirectional microphones having their outputs combined or a single bi-directional microphone. The earset also includes a combination circuit for adding or subtracting the first and second signals output from the first and second microphones respectively.

A one-piece two-way voice communication earset is situated in or at the ear of the user and is operated hands-free. It includes either two separated microphones having their outputs combined or a single bidirectional microphone. In either case, the earset treats the user's voice as consisting of out-of-phase signals that are not canceled, but treats ambient noise, and any incidental feedback of sound from received voice signals, as consisting of signals more nearly in-phase that are canceled or greatly reduced in level. The microphones are preferably electret microphones. In addition, a logarithmic amplification circuit reduces residual ambient noise during non-speaking intervals. The earset includes a receiver coupled to a communication medium and a speaker coupled to the receiver for emitting sound from received voice signals primarily to the user's ear canal. A transmitter, a part of the earset also coupled to the communication medium and located outside the ear canal, houses the two microphones or the one bidirectional microphone.

A composition for producing a water-proof sheet comprising 100 weight parts of a linear ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer having a density equal to or less than 0.910 g/ml, and 10-200 weight parts of asphalt. Water proof sheets produced from the composition are also included in the invention. In a preferred mode, the composition also includes an organic peroxide.

An anchor leg is formed with an elongated projection extending longitudinally thereof and a resilient harness clip is formed with an elongated groove for engagement with the projection to hold a free end of the strap in contact with the anchor leg for thereby preventing the former from diverging from latter toward its distal end.

A harness clip which comprises an engaging member having a penetrating hole, a leg portion integrally formed with one end of the engaging member and also formed with an engaging portion which is elastically deflecting, and a long strap integrally extended from the engaging member in a direction opposite to the leg portion and integrally formed with teeth for engaging a harness. The strap is engaged with the hole of a panel for mounting the harness integrally with the engaging portion of the leg portion and the teeth of the strap when the strap is inserted into the hole of the engaging member. Thus, the harness can be simply engaged exactly with a panel.
