A slip ring for use in a slip ring brush type rotation sensor device, includes a metal ring having an approximately cylindrical shape, and a resin ring that supports the metal ring. Slits extending in an axial direction are formed in respective side surfaces on outer peripheries of the metal and resin rings. The metal ring includes a common part formed on a side surface at one end along the axial direction of the approximately cylindrical shape and segmented by the slits into segments to form common regions, so that adjacent common regions are electrically connectable to each other, and a detection part formed on a side surface at the other end and segmented by the slits into segments to form conducting regions and isolated regions that are alternately provided with the slit interposed between adjacent conducting and isolated regions.

A disclosed image scanning device includes a scanning unit configured to scan a document, and a white standard plate facing the scanning unit and configured to provide a white standard at the time of scanning the original. The white standard plate includes a guide plate having a plate-like shape fabricated by performing press work, where the guide plate faces the scanning unit; and a reinforcing member having a U-shape with bent ends fabricated by performing press work, where the bent ends are welded onto a back side of the guide plate.

A stepping motor for a timepiece is constituted by a rotatable rotor magnet on an outer surface of which magnetic poles having different polarities are alternately formed, and two stator assemblies, each including a pair of stators opposing around the rotor magnet to have a gap and having stator magnetic pole portions, and an excitation coil for exciting the pair of stators, for supplying currents to the excitation coils to rotate the rotor magnet. The two stator assemblies are disposed to be separated by a predetermined distance in an axial direction of the rotor magnet, so that stator gap central lines of the two stator assemblies cross each other at an angle of 90.degree. when viewed from the axial direction.

Stepping motor for timepiece

An electronic tone generator in which a plurality of types of scale data and tone-length data are stored in an associative arrangement at predetermined addresses in a single storage device. The plurality of types of scale data read from the single storage device are input to corresponding waveform generators, where melody-waveform signals are generated. The melody-waveform signals generated in the respective waveform generators are mixed and synthesized by a mixer before being output from an output device. The waveform generators are adapted to switch envelope waveforms generated by envelope-waveform generators of a digital circuit configuration with waveform signals corresponding to the scale data, thereby obtaining melody-waveform signals. One of the waveform generators is adapted to generate a melody-waveform signal having a frequency which is an integral multiplication of the frequency of a main melody, for example, three times the frequency thereof, or to generate a melody-waveform signal giving a tremolo effect. To this electronic tone generator can be added a waveform generator for generating a percussion-waveform signal; the melody-waveform signals can be mixed and synthesized with the percussion-waveform signal, which makes it possible to output a melody with an accompaniment.

A carriage mechanism for a printer comprises an ink ribbon take-up mechanism for taking up an ink ribbon, a head moving mechanism for moving a printing head which is provided on a carriage between a printing position where the printing head can carry out a printing operation by transferring ink coated on the ink ribbon on a recording paper and a non-printing position where the printing head does not carry out the printing operation, and a single driving source for selectively driving the ink ribbon take-up mechanism and the head moving mechanism.

Carriage mechanism for thermal printer

An angle change detector which can also be used as an inclination angle detector comprises a pair of opposing magnets, a sector-shaped pendulum made of an electroconductive non-magnetic material and swingable past a spacing between the opposing magnets, and a pair of photosensors disposed on both side edges of the pendulum. Each photosensor comprises a light emitting diode and a phototransistor disposed on both sides of the pendulum. Output signals of the phototransistors are compared with a reference signal for producing an output signal corresponding to the degree of swinging of the pendulum.

Angle change detector

An inclinometer comprising a sector weight pivotally supported on a main body which may become inclined, the weight being relatively rotatable with respect to the main body and constantly hanging vertically due to gravity regardless of an inclination of the main body. A code part is provided on the weight, corresponding to a plurality of bits based on a predetermined code according to a relative rotary angle of the weight with respect to the main body, and a detecting part which becomes inclined together with the main body and becomes displaced with respect to the weight along each of the bits of the code part, produces a detection output based on the predetermined code according to the inclination angle of the main body.

Inclinometer

In an inclinometer of the type wherein inclinations in the fore and aft and left and right directions of a motor car are displayed independently, there are provided a pair of intermeshing sector gears, weights mounted on one of the sector gears, display discs mounted on shafts of one sector gears, and a scale cooperating with respective display discs for displaying pitching and rolling angles of the motor car.
