The present invention provides a motor driver and a motor driving system capable of suppressing power consumption when a motor is in a brake state. The motor driver of the present invention includes: a half-bridge power output section, including a high-side transistor and a low-side transistor; a high-side driving circuit, driving the high-side transistor; and a control portion. When switching to a brake mode, the low-side transistor is turned on and the control portion turns off the high-side driving circuit.

Lighting device

The present disclosure relates to a driver device, which can drive a load in high temperatures. In a driver IC which drives a motor by switch-driving four output transistors, a gate driving circuit is configured to render a slew rate of a gate voltage of each output transistor to be adjustable at multiple steps while the output transistor is switching. Although a predetermined rate is set to be the slew rate of the gate voltage in a normal state, the slew rate is increased at high temperatures.

A motor driving device includes a logic unit configured to control an electrical conduction of a motor, a reference clock signal generating unit configured to generate a reference clock signal based on a rotational speed indication signal, a rotational speed signal generating unit configured to generate a rotational speed signal based on a rotational speed of the motor, and a rotational speed feedback control unit configured to receive the reference clock signal and the rotational speed signal and control the logic unit so that the rotational speed of the motor reaches a target value. The rotational speed feedback control unit changes a feedback gain in response to the rotational speed signal.

A motor drive apparatus comprises: a position signal generation portion that generates a position signal corresponding to a rotor position of a brushless DC motor; and a logic portion that when starting the brushless DC motor, disposes a non-energizing period immediately after starting forced commutation at a phase switchover timing corresponding to a predetermined forced commutation frequency and performs energizing control of the brushless DC motor such that usual commutation is started at a phase switchover timing corresponding to the position signal that is generated during an inertial rotation of the rotor.

Semiconductor integrated circuit device with enhanced protection from electrostatic breakdown

In a semiconductor integrated circuit device comprising electrodes, loop wires, an input/output circuit, and an internal circuit arranged in order from a peripheral portion to a central portion of a substrate, and a pair of power wires each having a path from an associated one of the electrodes to the internal circuit through an associated loop wire. The pair of power wires are routed such that a connecting point of the one power wire from the associated loop wire to the internal wire corresponds to a connecting point of the other power wire from the associated loop wire to the internal wire, and the connecting point of the other power wire from the loop wire to the internal circuit corresponds to a connecting point of the one power wire from the associated electrode to the associated loop wire. An input/output circuit is moved closer to the electrodes, as a result of replacement of connecting positions of the paired power wires to the internal circuit, even from a viewpoint of the circuit configuration, to reduce the amount of surge noise leaking to the internal circuit. Consequently, a semiconductor integrated circuit device highly resistant to electrostatic breakdown and compatible with automatic designing is realized.

An IC for an active terminator has not only a plurality of pairs each corresponding to a different line of a bus and including a terminal resistor and a buffer amplifier which serves to output a specified voltage through the corresponding terminal resistor to the corresponding bus line, but also a similar pair of an additional buffer amplifier and an additional resistor. One end of the additional resistor is connected to the additional buffer amplifier and the other end of the additional resistor is connected to a pair of pads. Each of these terminal resistors may be connected to adjustment resistors each connected to its own additional buffer amplifier serving to output a specified voltage through the corresponding adjustment resistor to the corresponding line. These additional buffer amplifiers are controlled by a control signal received through their individual control lines which are grouped, the lines in each group being connected together into a common line which contains a repair part where it can be cut.

Integrated circuit for active terminator

A non-volatile semiconductor memory IC has both a flash memory and a CPU mounted thereon. The CPU is provided with a ROM which stores a program code and a memory device such as a SRAM. The CPU functions by the stored program code to perform various functions such as accessing the flash memory to thereby carry out a test to determine a good/bad condition of the flash memory, temporarily storing results of the test in the memory device, and copying the test results from the memory device into the flash memory.

An amplifier for an active terminator for outputting a specified voltage to a bus line through a terminal resistor includes a capacitor inserted between the drive line such as a base line of an output transistor and a voltage source such as a power voltage source or a grounding line. When there is a sudden change in the voltage condition in the bus line, the capacitor can quickly react to supply a current to the output transistor.
