A welding gun includes first and second movable arms, and first and second welding electrodes. The first and second movable arms are movable upward and downward. The first and second welding electrode are disposed respectively on the first and second movable arms. The welding gun is capable of performing a first mode in which the first and second welding electrodes are brought into contact with one side of a workpiece to weld the workpiece, and a second mode in which the workpiece is sandwiched by the first and second welding electrodes to weld the workpiece. The first and second welding electrodes are pivotally supported by the first and second movable arms, respectively. Each of the first and second welding electrodes has a rotatable roller shape. The first movable arm includes a first slide mechanism configured to allow the first welding electrodes to slide to below the second welding electrode.

Welding gun and welding method

A different material joining method sandwiches, with electrodes, a first joining member and a second joining member lower in melting point than the first member, applies pressure and electricity to them, and joins them in preset joint parts. The method includes forming a discontinuous abutting part beforehand in the joint part of at least one of the two members. The two members abut onto the abutting part in a discontinuous state. The method includes melting the second member by sandwiching the joint parts with the electrodes and applying pressure and electricity on the joint parts in a state where the two members abut onto each other in the joint parts while the abutting part is included. The method includes welding both the members by bringing a melting material of the second member into interface joining with a surface of the first member toward the second member.

Different material joining method

A welding assistance member with electrically-conductive properties is used for spot-welding performed by sandwiching a second member between electrically-conductive first members different in material from the second member. The welding assistance member is fitted into a hole extending through the second member so as to allow for spot-welding of the first members to each other from opposite sides in the hole. The welding assistance member includes: a main body that has a size and shape that allow a gap to be formed between the main body and an inner side surface of the hole when the main body is fitted in the hole; and a position maintaining component that is provided at an outer side of the main body, has heat, heat resisting, and electrically insulating properties, and maintains the main body in a separated state from the inner side surface. A spot-welding method uses this welding assistance member.

A vehicle body manufacturing apparatus includes: side jig frames disposed respectively on the right and left sides of a vehicle body; an upper jig frame installed between the side jig frames, the upper jig frames including a pair of front and rear frame members insertable into the inside of the vehicle body through front and rear openings of the vehicle body, respectively; a connection mechanism that removably connects insertion ends of the pair of frame members; and a clamping mechanism that is held on the upper jig frame and that positions the vehicle body.

A vehicle body manufacturing apparatus includes upper jig frames having frame members that are paired with each other and are insertable into the inside of the vehicle body through respective left and right openings of the vehicle body, a coupling mechanism that freely couples and decouples the ends of the paired frame members, and a clamp mechanism that is supported on the upper jig frame and positions the vehicle body from the inside of the vehicle body.

A first member has through holes. A linking member has a first holding portion and a second holding portion that hold an inner circumferential face and outer circumferential face of the first member; and engaging protrusions are formed on the first holding portion and second holding portion. The engaging protrusions are inserted into the through holes, and joined by joining portions formed thereupon. An attaching portion continues to the base edges of the first holding portion and second holding portion via a first supporting portion and a second supporting portion.

Member joining structure

A vehicle body manufacturing apparatus includes a left side jig configured to be disposed on a left lateral side of a vehicle body, and a right side jig configured to be disposed on a right lateral side of the vehicle body. The left side jig is formed to be divided into a left front jig on a front side and a left rear jig on a rear side, and the right side jig is formed to be divided into a right front jig on a front side and a right rear jig on a rear side. The left side jig and the right side jig performs clamping for positioning and pre-assembling by coming into contact with the vehicle body from the outside of the vehicle body as well as clamping for positioning and pre-assembling by extending into the inside of the vehicle body.

A vehicle body manufacturing apparatus includes: a jig that holds one work of the vehicle body, positions the one work to the another work, and joins the works together at a joint section; a welding gun that welds a weld portion in the joint section by an electrode that is moved along a pressure axis and pressed against the weld portion; and a welding position fixing member that regulates the pressure axis, along which the electrode is moved, within a setting area, the welding position fixing member being movable in a coaxial direction to the pressure axis along which the electrode is moved, being contactable with the joint section to interpose the joint section between the jig and the welding position fixing member, and having a controllable pressure at a time of welding the weld portion by the electrode, which is moved at the time of welding.

A hemmed structure includes a first member and a second member. The first member is a sheet-like member including a thermoplastic resin and includes an inner bent portion formed at a position at which an end portion of the first member is bent. The second member is a sheet-like member a metal material and includes an outer bent portion formed at a position at which an end portion of the second member is bent. The outer bent portion is disposed so as to wrap around the inner bent portion, and the end portion of the second member is disposed inside the inner bent portion. A brittle portion is formed on an inner surface of the inner bent portion.

Hemmed structure and hemming method

There are provided a spot welding apparatus and a spot welding method. A workpiece is clamped between a combination of a second welding electrode and a receiving unit that abut against a thinner plate, and a first welding electrode that abuts against a second thicker plate, a pressure is applied to the workpiece by the first welding electrode, and a current is passed between the welding electrodes. Consequently, a satisfactory nugget is formed over from the thinner plate to the second thicker plate. Similarly, a workpiece is clamped between a combination of the first welding electrode and the receiving unit that abut against a thinner plate, and the second welding electrode that abuts against a second thicker plate, a pressure is applied to the workpiece by the second welding electrode. Consequently, a satisfactory nugget is formed over from the thinner plate to the second thicker plate.

Spot welding apparatus and spot welding method

A vehicle body manufacturing apparatus includes: a jig frame structure in which an upper jig frame out of multiple upper jig frames is replaceably disposed according to a vehicle type; a clamp jig that clamps a work of a vehicle body supported by the jig frame structure; an articulated arm that supports the clamp jig movably relative to the vehicle body; a fitting member provided in the clamp jig; and a fitting receiving member that is provided in the upper jig frame and guides the clamp jig to a predetermined clamp position of the vehicle body by fitting to the fitting member.

A method for recovering zinc oxide comprises the steps of: agglomerating a dust; charging the agglomerate to a molten iron in a melting furnace; collecting a dust generated from the melting furnace; recycling a part of the collected dust and recovering another part of the collected dust. An apparatus for recovering zinc oxide comprises: an agglomeration unit for agglomerating a dust containing iron oxide and zinc oxide; a melting furnace for accepting the agglomerate and for holding the molten iron for reducing the dust; and at least two units of dust collector for collecting the dust containing zinc oxide generated from the melting furnace.
