A magnetic sensor includes a member having a magnetic contour anisotropy. A counterpart yoke is disposed above a magnet. The thickness of the counterpart yoke is equal to or slightly smaller than the resolution. The counterpart yoke has a magnetic contour anisotropy for restraining the divergence of the magnetic flux from the magnet. The resolution can be prevented from being reduced depending on the distance between a medium and a magnetic sensing element. At the same time, the magnet can be miniaturized.

It is an object of the present invention to prevent variations in sensitivity of the sensor circuits of the respective channels by equalizing the power of oscillation frequency signals to be distributed/supplied from one oscillation circuit to the sensor circuits of the respective channels. Multi-channel sensor circuits are arranged with a common oscillation circuit. A high-impedance conversion circuit is connected to the output terminal of the oscillation circuit. A first impedance matching circuit for performing impedance matching of resonance circuits of the respective channels with reference to the oscillation circuit is arranged on the output side of the high-impedance conversion circuit. Second impedance matching circuits for performing impedance matching of the oscillation circuit with reference to the resonance circuits are connected at the input terminals of the resonance circuits of the respective channels. The first impedance matching circuit is connected to the second impedance matching circuits through coaxial cables.

A ceramic resonance type electrostatic sensor apparatus with an oscillator at a fixed frequency including a first ceramic resonator which has a fixed resonance frequency, a detecting unit for detecting a capacitance between the detecting unit and an object to be detected, a resonating circuit including a second ceramic resonator and having a resonance point which varies with the small change in capacitance detected by the detecting unit, a high impedance circuit connected between the oscillator and the resonating circuit, and a high impedance circuit connected between the resonating circuit and the detecting circuit.

Ceramic resonance type electrostatic sensor apparatus

Apparatus for detecting thickness which includes an electrode detecting unit including a ground electrode and a detecting electrode. The electrodes oppose each other along a paper path. An oscillating circuit provides an oscillation frequency signal. A resonant circuit, having a resonator independent of the oscillating circuit, has a resonance point which changes in accordance with a change in electro-static capacitance corresponding to a change in paper thickness detected by the electrode detecting unit. A resonant circuit outputs a detection signal corresponding to the change in resonance point. By analyzing this detecting signal, a state of two sheets of paper passing through the path is detected as a change in paper thickness.

Paper thickness detecting apparatus having a resonator with a resonance

Disclosed is a multi-channel electrostatic sensor apparatus including a main oscillation circuit; a plurality of pull-in type sub-oscillation circuits which are adapted to synchronize with the main oscillation circuit to generate sub-frequency signals whose frequency is equal to the main oscillation frequency or a multiple thereof; and a plurality of resonance circuits which are sensitive to any change in exterior capacitance when detected by an associated detector for changing its resonator resonance point with respect to the sub-frequency signal. Positive synchronization of the sub-oscillation circuits with the single main oscillation circuit prevents any adverse effect from being caused by the varying stray capacitance in flexible conductors connecting the sub-oscillation circuits to the main oscillation circuit while allowing the relatively free movement of the video heads of a video system, on which video heads the sub-oscillation circuits and subsequent components are attached.

Multi-channel electrostatic sensor apparatus

Disclosed is a small-sized magnetoresistance element array having a plurality of arranged magnetoresistance elements and provided with excellent operating efficiency which facilitates connection of each magnetoresistance element by virtue of comb terminals and U-shaped terminals provided on the inner walls of the stem. In the magnetoresistance element array, the magnet detectors are positioned at the right three-dimensional position, thereby preventing crosstalk or deviation in the reading timing at the time of reading a magnetic code. Guides are provided on the top walls of the stem so as to regulate the position at which the magnetic detector is secured to the top portion of the magnet. The magnetoresistance element array is used for a magnetic sensor for reading information recorded as a magnetic code from a magnetic code recorded medium such as a magnetic card.

Magnetoresistance element array

A pyroelectric infrared ray detector of the so-called dual structure for detecting an intruder or the like through differential output of two pyroelectric infrared ray detecting elements connected in parallel or series to each other. The infrared ray detector comprises a pair of pyroelectric infrared ray detecting elements having substantially identically directed light receiving surfaces and electrically connected to each other and a shield member arranged in front of the said light receiving surfaces to partially shield the infrared ray detecting elements against incidence of infrared light. The shield member is arranged in a plane extending between the infrared ray detecting elements to separate the same on both sides thereof.

Infrared ray detector

A pyroelectric type detecting device including a converging mirror, a pyroelectric type sensor element for detecting light converged by the converging mirror, an amplifier for amplifying an output signal of the sensor element and a casing for accommodating the sensor element and the amplifier. The sensor element has a window for receiving the light and the casing is rotatably mounted on a portion of the converging mirror such that the window of the sensor element confronts a mirror member of the converging mirror.

Pyroelectric type detecting device

A rotary actuator comprise a stator defining a cylindrical space and formed with a pair of diametrically opposite main magnetic poles adapted to be magnetized to the same polarity, a pair of drive coils disposed on the main poles, a drive circuit for energizing the drive coils, and a rotor having a plurality of pairs of magnetized zones separated by non-magnetized zones, all disposed around the circumference of the rotor, adjacent magnetized zones being of opposite polarities.

Liquid level sensing means comprising galvano-magneto effect transducing means, magnet means for applying magnetic flux to the transducing means, switching means movable with respect to the transducing means and having an influence on the magnetic flux applied from the magnetic means to the transducing means so that an electric signal is produced by the transducing means when the switching means has passed by the transducing means from one side to the other side thereof, one of the transducing means and the switching means being held stationary, and the other being movable in accordance with a change in liquid level.

Liquid level sensing device comprising magnet received in the cylindrical portion of an oil reservoir cap, a signal generating electrical circuit, by which an oil level is indicated, including galvano-magneto effect transducing device attached to the magnet, magnetic device carried on a diaphragm of the oil reservoir and movable with respect to the transducing device, the magnetic device moving away from the transducing device when the diaphragm is lowered so that an electric signal is generated by the transducing device.

A keyboard switch circuit comprises a first plurality of terminals associated with m rows and a second plurality of terminals associated n columns. A plurality of series circuits each including a reluctance element and a diode are connected between the terminals associated with the rows and the columns, respectively, in a manner to correspond with key switches. By applying input pulse signals to the terminals of the rows, a keyboard signal corresponding to a key depressed is derived in the form of pulses on the terminals associated with the columns.

Keyboard switch circuit for use in a matrix which has a series circuit

A potentiometer includes a pair of magnetic resistance effect elements which cooperate with a permanent magnet carried by a rotary shaft. The shaft is supported for angular movement by a cylindrical holder formed of synthetic resin material and disposed in partial surrounding relationship and in contact with the shaft. The holder includes a cylindrical reinforcing member of metallic material embedded therein and having an axis which is aligned with the axis of the rotary shaft. The member affords reinforcement to and prevents a distortion during molding of the holder.

Potentiometer

A potentiometer which is generally similar to those potentiometers incorporating a pair of magnetic resistance effect elements and providing a linear output, but which produces a non-linear output by the choice of a particular configuration for the sensor surface of the elements and their relative arrangement. In accordance with the invention, a pair of magnetic resistance effect elements having sensor surfaces which are identical in configuration and size are mounted on the mount and are alternately exposed to the effective magnetic field as the latter rotates about the center of rotation during the rotation of the shaft. The sensor surfaces of the elements are disposed such that when a first and a second coordinate axis, orthogonal to each other, are drawn on the mount passing through the center of rotation, they are located on the opposite sides of the first coordinate axis and spaced from each other symmetrically with respect to the center of rotation. A scan begins with one end of the wiper edge of the effective magnetic field and ends with the other end thereof. During the scan, the area of the element exposed to the effective magnetic field varies non-linearly as the shaft rotates. The scan by the effective magnetic field takes place in a complementary manner for the pair of elements. As the area of the individual element exposed to the effective magnetic field varies, the resistance presented by the element varies in proportion thereto.

Potentiometer providing a non-linear output

A magnetic sensor includes a housing in which flux producing means which comprises an electromagnet or a permanent magnet is received. A pair of magnetoelectric transducer elements are secured to a surface of the flux producing means which represents a magnetic pole, with a given spacing between the elements. In order to dispose the magnetoelectric transducer elements as close as possible to the outer surface of the housing, the latter is formed with a through opening at a corresponding position. The through opening is covered by a thin shield cap to protect the magnetoelectric transducer elements from a member being detected which is passed in sliding contact with or very close to the outer surface of the housing and to provide an enclosed construction for the housing.
