The purpose of this invention is to achieve an electric air flow control device comprising a motor rotor bearing structure having excellent wear resistance even with loads from striking caused by a high vibrational environment specific to an internal combustion engine. A cylindrical sintered metal slide bearing is used in at least one of a front bearing () and a rear bearing () that support a rotor shaft () of a motor () that is the rotary control drive source of a throttle valve () that controls the intake air flow to an internal combustion engine, and the bearing design is such that the relationship of the radial crushing strength and the compressive deformation rate of the cylindrical sintered metal bearing has the mechanical properties of a maximum radial crushing strength of 230 N/mm2 or greater and a maximum compressive deformation rate of 3.5% or greater at the maximum radial crushing strength.

Electric air flow control device for internal combustion engines

In a microwave irradiation apparatus, an applicator portion has an interior space for housing an object to be irradiated. A first microwave irradiation system outputs a first microwave to the interior space in a first mode so as to generate a large electric field and a small magnetic field at a specific place of the interior space. A high-temperature member for use in a gas turbine, the member being formed from a new wear-resistant alloy having good wear resistance as well as good ductility, is disclosed. The member was developed to prevent wear and damage that occur due to vibration while the turbine is running. The high-temperature member for use in a gas turbine is formed from a new cobalt-based wear-resistant alloy which is composed of a cobalt-chromium matrix and refractory metals, with the content of hard particles (such as carbide) reduced. The refractory metals promote work hardening, thereby improving wear resistance. The reduced content of hard particles contributes to good ductility.

An electronic fuel injector capable of supplying fuel in a stable manner is provided by employing a swirler, which is manufactured at a lower cost and has durability, and by ensuring superior wear resistance of the swirler and a valve member provided on a movable part, which is put into frictional contact with the swirler. The electronic fuel injector comprises a movable part, a valve member, a valve seat, a swirler, a stopper, a stator core, a casing, a spring, and an electromagnetic coil. A valve member is provided at a fore end of the movable part. The swirler serves not only to swirl fuel, but also to guide movement of the valve member provided at the fore end of the movable part. The swirler is formed of a powder sintered compact of martensitic stainless steel having corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
