A stackable storage system is disclosed. The system includes a base storage container disposed on a wheeled cart, and one or more additional storage containers removably secured on top of the base container. A main lid is disposed on the storage container and is pivotable between a position in which it covers at least a portion of the interior storage volume and a position in which it does not cover the interior storage volume. The main lid has a main lid opening formed therethrough. A secondary lid is pivotable between a position in which it covers the opening and a second position in which it does not cover the opening to allow access to the interior storage volume via the opening while the main lid covers the interior storage volume.

A locking mechanism is configured to automatically secure a first object to a second object when the objects are adjacent one another. The locking mechanism selectively releases the objects from one another in response to the movement of a third object. The locking mechanism includes a latch having a base, a pivoting portion attached to the base, with the pivoting portion configured to pivotally secure the latch to the first object about an axis (A). The latch also includes a securing portion attached to the base. A receiving surface is configured to contact the second object as it comes into proximity with the first object and pivot the latch about the axis (A) in a first direction. The securing portion also includes a hook configured to automatically secure the second object to the first object when the objects are adjacent to one another.

A container having a container portion with an interior space in which articles to be transported can be stored and a lid pivotably connected to the container portion. The lid is moveable relative to the container portion between an opened and closed position. The container also includes a latch arrangement that is constructed to secure the lid in covering relation with respect to the container portion and a hinge structure that is constructed to enable the lid to pivot relative to the container portion. The container includes a support that engages a surface on which a bottom surface rests when the lid is in the opened position, so as to support the lid in the open position. The support is positioned proximate to the container portion when the lid is in the closed position and movable to an extended position when the lid is in the open position.

A rolling container assembly includes a base container, wheels to provide rolling support, at least one removable container, and a container engaging region with an automatic lock interacting between the removable container and the container engaging region. The automatic lock is releasable so that the removable container can be released to enable the at least one removable container to be carried by its carrying handle and transported separately from the base container. The assembly has a lower drawer and an upper drawer, and a slide structure having a first portion mounted to the upper drawer and a second portion mounted to the lower drawer to facilitate movement of the drawers. The lower drawer and upper drawer are independently movable between their respective open and closed positions. The apparatus includes a central frame structure carrying a lock member that enables the upper drawer to be locked in the closed position.

A tool container assembly includes a base container, a cover, rollers, a removable tool tray, and an extendable handle. The base container includes a storage space, and an upwardly facing opening into the storage space. The cover is movable between a closed position in which it substantially covers the upwardly facing opening and an open position in which it exposes the upwardly facing opening. The rollers are connected with the base container to enable transport of the tool container assembly. The removable tool tray is constructed and arranged to be removably carried by the base container and the tool tray is configured to store articles or tools therein. The extendable handle is operatively connected to the base container to facilitate tilted rolling transport of the tool container assembly. The removable tool tray is constructed to securely engage with the handle when the handle is in an extended position.
