The present disclosure presents systems and methods for remote patient monitoring. One such system or method is adapted to configuring a gateway device to supply remote patient monitoring data for peripheral monitoring devices of an individual patient, wherein the remote patient monitoring data comprises measurement values of the peripheral monitoring devices; configuring one or more parameters for tracking compliance of supplying of the remote patient monitoring data to a healthcare provider of the patient; tracking times at which remote patient monitoring data is received from the gateway device for individual peripheral monitoring devices of the patient and supplied to the healthcare provider via a dashboard graphical interface; and transmitting to the gateway device of the patient an alert signal that causes a status display indicator on the gateway device to indicate that a new remote patient monitoring data is requested for the particular peripheral monitoring device.

Systems and methods for remote patient monitoring

An exercise cycle includes a crankshaft, cranks mounted to the crankshaft, a drive mechanism including a ferromagnetic flywheel that rotates in response to rotation of the crankshaft, and a non-contact force adjustment mechanism with which a force required to rotate the flywheel can be adjusted, the force adjustment mechanism including a pivotable member to which magnets are mounted, wherein the magnets can be moved closer to the flywheel when the pivotable member is pivoted toward the flywheel to increase the force required to rotate the flywheel and can be moved farther away from the flywheel when the pivotable member is pivoted away from the flywheel to decrease the force required to rotate the flywheel.

Exercise cycle

In one embodiment, an exercise system includes a user interface device sized and configured to fit within a user's hand, the user interface device including a microcontroller configured to control operation of the device, a first sensor configured to sense movements of the device, a second sensor configured to sense forces applied to the device, and a communication device configured to communicate data concerning the sensed movements and forces to a separate device.

Systems and methods for facilitating rehabilitation and exercise

In one embodiment, a system includes apparatus for monitoring hand or wrist movement, the apparatus including a magnetic ring adapted to be worn on a finger of a patient and a data acquisition unit adapted to be worn on a wrist of the patient, the data acquisition unit including a magnetic sensor that can measure the strength and orientation of magnetic fields generated by the ring.
