The disclosed computer-implemented method for remediating computer reliability issues may include (1) obtaining a computer-generated log line that potentially includes information pertaining to a cause of a reliability issue experienced by a device, (2) determining that a product-specific schema has not been created for a product that generated the computer-generated log line, (3) in response to determining that a product-specific schema has not been created for the product, matching values of the computer-generated log line to fields within one or more established schemas that are not specific to the product, (4) identifying an entry, within the one or more established schemas, that corresponds to the computer-generated log line, and (5) remediating the device based on information associated with the entry within the one or more established schemas. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Techniques for optimizing disk access are disclosed. The method also involves performing a plurality of first functions that generate a plurality of first outputs. Performing these first functions includes accessing objects based on the index and generating an output for each object. Each output also includes the respective object. The method also involves performing one or more second functions, where the second functions use the first outputs.

Enabling use of analytic functions for distributed storage system data

A system and method for escalating a level of backup protection for a cluster of nodes are described. A backup software application may be configured to backup application data used by the cluster of nodes according to a first level of backup protection. In response to detecting a failure of a node in the cluster, the backup software application may be reconfigured to backup the application data used by the cluster of nodes according to an escalated level of backup protection. For example, reconfiguring the backup software application to backup the application data according to the escalated level of backup protection may cause the backup software application to increase a frequency at which backup operations for backing up the application data are performed.
