The present disclosure provides embodiments of intelligent cabin management systems and methods. In embodiments, a system includes video cameras for capturing live video streams, an enhancement module for enhancing the live video stream, at least one analytics module for analyzing the enhanced video stream to generate analytics data, and a reporting system for reporting the generated data to at least one of avionics system, crew system and maintenance crew system. The at least one analytics module includes models trained to identify features and reconcile the same against known parameters to determine at least one of compliance and damage. In use, the system alerts crews to issues requiring correction or attention to ensure efficient cabin management.

A method for monitoring an aircraft cargo bay using an aircraft interface device may comprise receiving image data of a cargo bay of an aircraft. The method may further comprise detecting movement in the cargo bay, directing a camera to activate in response to that movement, and processing the captured image data. The aircraft interface device may include pre-trained neural network based algorithms configured for event classification. The method may further comprise generating an alarm based on a theft event classification and transmitting the alarm to an aircraft.

Systems and methods for identifying damage and theft in an aircraft cargo bay

An assembly is provided for an aircraft. This aircraft assembly includes a fuselage and a second system. The fuselage includes a wall and a hatch configured to close an opening in the wall. The sensor system includes an optical fiber, a transmitter and a receiver. The optical fiber is arranged at an interface between the hatch and the wall. The transmitter is configured to transmit first electromagnetic radiation into the optical fiber. The receiver is configured to detect second electromagnetic radiation received from the optical fiber to provide receiver data. The sensor system is configured to detect fluid leakage across the interface between the hatch and the wall based on the receiver data.

The video may be automatically monitored in real time across the entire journey of the baggage. The baggage handling system may provide an automated approach to identify theft of airport bags\luggage without manual effort required by humans. The bags may then be safely transported through an airport without theft or tampering. The automated surveillance and responding system may not depend on airport staff to monitor for baggage theft. The automated surveillance and responding system may detect multiple types of baggage theft/tampering.

Provided are embodiments for performing automated defect detection for a flexible member using image processing. The techniques include monitoring, by one or more sensors, a flexible member to obtain sensor data, converting the sensor data from the one or more sensors to image data, and receiving reference image data to compare to the image data. The techniques also include determining a defect based on the comparison and threshold setting information for the flexible member, and transmitting a notification based on the defect.

A windshield wiper system for use on an aircraft includes a controller and a wiper assembly including a wiper arm, a wiper blade, and a moving block. Further, the windshield wiper system includes a rail assembly including a rail assembly rack, a plurality of electromagnets, and an electrical interface. An aircraft search light system is disclosed. Voice commands may be used to control one or more aspects of the operation of the aircraft search light system, including to initiate the detection of objects in image data, to select a particular object in the image data to be tracked by the search light, and the like. The search light may be moved based upon processed image data, for instance such that the selected object continues to be illuminated by the search light. Voice commands may also be used to initiate movement the search light relative to the selected object (e.g., to keep the selected object in the field of view of the search light). Audio output may be generated by the aircraft search light system to provide information to aircraft personnel on the processed image data, and on which one or more subsequent voice commands may be based.

An occupant restraint system includes a plurality of occupant residences each including a restraint assembly having a latch mechanism manually movable between a latched state and an unlatched state and an electric lock mechanism movable from an unlocked state to a locked state when the latch mechanism is in the latched state. An occupancy tabulation system is constructed and arranged to send a signal to the control console indicative of occupied residences of the plurality of occupant residences for displaying an occupied condition associated with the occupied residences on the electronic display.
