Method and apparatus are provided for a multidirectional opening storage cover. The apparatus includes a storage cover having a right side, a left side, a front side, and a rear side, a first latch on the left side of the storage cover, a second latch on the front side of the storage cover, a third latch on the right side of the storage cover, a fourth latch on the rear side of the storage cover, a first switch on the left side of the storage cover operative to disengage the first latch, second latch and fourth latch in response to an activation of the first switch by a user, and a second switch on the right side of the storage cover operative to disengage the second latch, the third latch and the fourth latch in response to an activation of the second switch by the user.

A container holder for a vehicle is disclosed. The container holder defines a central axis. The container holder includes an inner body defining an innermost surface, where the innermost surface of the container holder is shaped to receive a bottom portion of a container. The container holder also includes an iris mechanism at least partially surrounding the inner body. The iris mechanism includes a plurality of blades that expand inwardly towards the central axis of the container holder and exert a clamping force upon a container placed within the inner body of the container holder.

An adjustment mechanism for a motor vehicle seat includes an annular motor with an inner nut housed in a rotor, a bracket attached to the seat, the annular motor being positioned in the bracket, and a lead screw that is threaded through the inner nut. When the annular motor is activated the rotor as well as the inner nut rotate about the lead screw resulting in relative translational motion of the bracket and hence the seat relative to the lead screw.

A container holder is disclosed and includes an inner body defining an innermost surface, an outer body at least partially surrounding the inner body that is rotatable about an axis of rotation, and one or more retaining members. The retaining members each define a retaining surface and are configured to abut against and exert a clamping force upon the container. The retaining members are each connected to the inner body by a hinged connection and are configured to actuate about the hinged connection between a first position where the retaining surface is at a maximum distance when measured from the axis of rotation of the outer body and a second position where the retaining surface is measured at a minimum distance when measured from the axis of rotation of the outer body. The container holder also includes one or more camming members disposed around the outer body.

One general aspect includes a device control switch for a panel assembly, including: a switch base mounted to the panel assembly; a switch button tiltably mounted to the switch base, the switch button configured to tilt away from a default position relative to a horizontal axis, the switch button including a nib; a flexibend sensor fixed to a portion of the switch base, the flexibend sensor in substantial contact with the nib via spring force; and where slight tilting of the switch button away from the default position will cause the flexibend sensor to deflect and remain in substantial contact with the nib as the nib moves with the switch button relative to the horizontal axis.

A glove box for a vehicle includes a glove box door pivotally hinged to an instrument panel in a vehicle, a pair of side walls extending rearwardly from the glove box door, a rear wall connected to rearward edges of the pair of side walls. The glove box door, the pair of side walls, and the rear wall define a storage volume between them. The glove box further includes a flexible divider pivotally hinged at a lower portion of the storage volume.
