A press system for knocking out a work from a lower die attached to a press machine has a cammounted on a bed of the press machine; a servo motorwhich drives the cam to be rotated with the same cycle time as that of a drive mechanism of a slide of the press machine; a knockout pinmoved with reciprocal linear motion by the rotation of the cam; a detectorconfigured to detect a present angle informationof the cam, a memory storing a target angle information of the cam, and a controllerconfigured to control the servo motor in accordance with the present angle information and the target angle information. The controller is further configured to change a basic motion of the knockout pin according to contour of the cam to a target motion obtained from the target angle information.
