In some implementations, a server device may receive a request to validate a connectivity between the server device and a device associated with a cellular site. The server device may generate an ISO image that includes site-specific configuration information for the cellular site. The server device may utilize the ISO image to configure an operating system of the device. The server device may test the connectivity between the server device and the device based on configuring the operating system. The server device may perform one or more actions based on testing the connectivity between the server device and the device.

Systems and methods provide reliable voice connections dual-connectivity environments, given limitations of available spectrum. A system includes a first wireless station and a second wireless station. The first wireless station provides a shared spectrum of a first frequency band, the shared spectrum including a first spectrum for a first cellular wireless standard and a second spectrum for a second cellular wireless standard. The second wireless station is at least partially within a coverage area of the first wireless station and provides a third spectrum for the second cellular wireless standard. The third spectrum is a millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum. The first wireless station broadcasts a parameter barring an end device in an idle mode from camping on the second spectrum. The first wireless station or the second wireless station triggers the end device to swap to the second spectrum when a paging request for a voice call is received.

Method and system for supporting voice calls in 5G new radio environments

A system described herein may provide for the separation of functions associated with a User Plane Function ('UPF') in a wireless network (e.g., a Fifth Generation ('5G') network), such that routing devices associated with the wireless network may perform functionality that would otherwise be performed by virtualized hosts or other configurable resources. For example, routing components which form a backhaul or other portion of the network may process traffic according to a suitable set of policies (e.g., Quality of Service (&#x201c;QoS&#x201d;) policies, content filtering policies, queueing policies, and/or other policies) instead of transmitting such traffic to a UPF associated with the network core for processing.

The RAN-CN network slice pairing information may include location information, radio access network slice information, core network slice information correlated to different types or applications or services available to end devices. A method, a device, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are described in which a traffic flow control service is provided. The traffic flow control service provides that a wireless station of a wireless access network stores radio coverage information relating to communication links established with end devices. During various network procedures that establish or migrate a traffic flow session with an end device, the wireless station receives a profile from a policy control device. The profile includes radio coverage information and traffic flow parameters and values that correlate to the radio coverage information. The wireless station compares the stored radio coverage information with the radio coverage information in the profile, and selects the best match. The wireless station uses the traffic flow parameters and values to enforce a traffic flow relating to the end device.

Method and system for RAN-based traffic flow control

Systems and methods described herein provide stateless network functions for a wireless core network. A network device in the wireless core network receives, from a network function instance in a set of network function instances, context information and state maintenance parameters for an end device. The state maintenance parameters include one or more timer values for the end device, and an action to be performed upon expiry of the one or more timer values. The network device stores the context information and the state maintenance parameters, and applies the state maintenance parameters to the context information for the end device. The network device performs the action when expiry of the one or more timer values is detected.

Method and system for stateless network function services in 5G networks

A device may obtain, for an account associated with a user equipment (UE) that is connected to a network, subscriber profile data that includes a group identifier for a messaging group for UEs that are eligible to utilize a group messaging service. The device may update a data structure to associate the group identifier and a UE identifier for the UE, wherein the data structure also associates the group identifier and other UE identifiers for other UEs of the messaging group. The device may receive, based on being subscribed to the group messaging service, group message data for a group message. The device may select the UE and the one or more other UEs as target recipients of the group message and may provide, using multicast, the contents of the group message to the UE and the one or more other UEs.

A device may receive a request to establish a packet data network (PDN) session for a user device. The device may provide a first instruction to establish the PDN session for the user device with a temporary default bearer based on receiving the request. The temporary default bearer may be maintained for less than a duration of the PDN session. The device may receive an indication to release the temporary default bearer after providing the first instruction to establish the PDN session. The device may provide a second instruction to release the temporary default bearer and maintain one or more signaling sessions associated with the PDN session based on receiving the indication to release the temporary default bearer. The one or more signaling sessions, associated with the PDN session, may be maintained after the temporary default bearer has been released.

The first device can determine a network slice identifier that is associated with the user device based on the information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device. The first device can permit the user device to access a network slice, of the network, that is associated with the network slice identifier based on determining the network slice identifier.

A first network device determines a first pointer value associated with a first management instance that includes at least one of network access or mobility management functions for user equipment (UE) interaction with a wireless network. The first network device installs, at a second network device, the first management instance, along with the first pointer value. The first network device changes the first pointer value in response to a first event associated with the wireless network or one or more other networks. The first pointer value is used for selecting at least one management instance, among a plurality of management instances that include the first management instance, for servicing wireless service requests from UEs to the wireless network.
