A method for aerial-based event notification includes detecting a trigger event with one or more electronic units of a system. The system includes a telematics unit, a drone having one or more notification actuators, and a tether that connects the drone to the system. The method further includes launching the drone with the telematics unit in response to the trigger event, waiting a predetermined time after the trigger event, retracting the drone in response to a subsequent event being undetected within the predetermined time after the trigger event, detecting the subsequent event with the one or more electronic units, placing the drone in an alert configuration in response to detecting the subsequent event within the predetermined time after the trigger event, and generating one or more alert notifications from the one or more notification actuators while the drone is in the alert configuration.

In various embodiments, methods, systems, and vehicles are provided controlling a vehicle. In an exemplary embodiment, a method includes: monitoring an eye gaze of a driver of the vehicle; monitoring current traffic conditions surrounding the vehicle; predicting an intention of the driver to perform a lane change maneuver based on the eye gaze, a history of the eye gaze of the driver, and the current traffic conditions; and controlling, by the processor, the vehicle based on the predicted intention of the driver to perform a lane change maneuver.

A system and method for detecting air-fuel ratio rich-lean imbalance in an automotive engine cylinder is provided. The system and the method are configured to receive an oxygen sensor voltage of an oxygen sensor. They also include filtering the oxygen sensor voltage to create a filtered oxygen sensor voltage. An engine speed and load are determined, and an air-fuel ratio imbalance detection threshold is determined based on the engine speed and the engine load. A rich-lean imbalance status is determined, the rich-lean imbalance status being non-normal if any portion of the filtered oxygen sensor voltage exceeds the air-fuel ratio imbalance detection threshold, and the rich-lean imbalance status being normal if none of the filtered oxygen sensor voltage exceeds the air-fuel ratio imbalance detection threshold. An injector control module selectively applies the voltage to the fuel injector and monitors a resultant electrical current flow through the fuel injector. The switching power supply includes a dual path circuit comprising two inductors, two MOSFETs, and two diodes. The injector control module determines whether one path of the dual path circuit is defective based on the electrical current flow.
