A method may include storing, at a network device, a user device identifier associated with a user device that has subscribed to access an edge service, an edge service identifier associated with the edge service, and an edge device identifier associated with an edge device at an edge network to provide the edge service; receiving, at the network device, a request to access the edge service, wherein the request includes the user device identifier and the edge service identifier; performing, by the network device, a lookup to determine the edge device identifier; and transmitting, by the network device and to the user device, the edge device identifier for accessing the edge service at the edge device.

Systems and methods for device traffic steering using edge DNS mediation service (EDMS)

An application client on a user device receives an internal request from within the application client. The internal request is associated with edge application device(s) hosted by a computing platform. In response to the internal request, the application client obtains an authorization token from the computing platform and initiates an edge discovery request to the computing platform using the authorization token. In response to the edge discovery request, the application client receives connection information of a particular edge application device among the edge application device(s) that is identified for the application client by the computing platform. The application client establishes a connection between the application client and the particular edge application device using the connection information of the particular edge application device.

Edge discovery authorization for a user device

A system may receive registration information regarding a user equipment (UE). The system may determine a UE usage type for the UE from a plurality of UE usage types. The plurality of UE usage types includes a first UE usage type associated with accessing first services using a cloud domain name system (DNS) and a second UE usage type associated with accessing second services using an edge DNS. The system may receive a notification indicating that the UE is requesting access to a service and identify an edge device for providing access to the service. The system may obtain information identifying the UE usage type of the UE based on UE identification information of the UE. The system may provide, to the UE, DNS information regarding using the cloud DNS or the edge DNS to obtain a network address of the edge device.

Systems and methods for edge device discovery

A device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to maintain an Internet of Things (IoT) device database that stores, for an IoT device in the IoT device database, an application server device list that includes one or more application server devices that are to be notified when the IoT device is determined to be in an awake state. The processor may be further configured to receive a first indication from a first application server device that the IoT device is in an awake state; access the IoT device database to identify a second application server device associated with the IoT device; and send a second indication to the second application server device that the IoT device is in the awake state based on the received first indication from the first application server device.

Internet of things device connectivity real time notification

An application, executed by a User Equipment ('UE'), may receive an identifier, which may be used to monitor Key Performance Indicators ('KPIs') associated with the UE. Such KPIs may be monitored in conjunction with execution of the application, such as at times that the application sends and/or receives traffic. The KPIs may be associated with sensor data, resources, and/or other features or functionality of the UE. The UE may obtain an identifier associated with the application and/or the UE from a KPI monitoring system of some embodiments, may obtain user consent to monitor and/or report KPIs associated with the application, and may provide such KPIs to the KPI monitoring system in conjunction with the identifier. The KPI monitoring system may generate aggregated KPI information, associated with the application, based on the KPIs received from the UE and/or KPIs received from one or more other sources.

Systems and methods for device-anonymous performance monitoring in a wireless network

A multi-access edge computing (MEC) platform may receive an indication that a user device has downloaded a MEC application client associated with a MEC application and may send, to the user device, instructions to install a device client. The device client may transmit device information associated with the user device to the MEC platform. The MEC platform may receive the device information associated with the user device and determine, based on the received device information, performance information associated with the MEC application.

Systems and methods described herein provide for generating behavior profiles for a plurality of end devices associated with an end user; receiving, from the end user, a request for an over-the-air (OTA) update for the plurality of end devices; generating an OTA update campaign plan based on the behavior profiles responsive to the request; providing the OTA update campaign plan to the end user; receiving, from the end user, a modified request for the OTA update; and generating an OTA update campaign schedule responsive to the modified request.

Systems and methods for IoT device lifecycle management

An exemplary security virtualization system implemented by a multi-access edge compute ('MEC') server identifies a security policy for a device that is separate from and communicatively coupled to the MEC server. The security virtualization system intercepts data transmitted to the device from an application server, and applies a security service to the intercepted data in accordance with the security policy identified for the device. Subsequent to the applying of the security service, the security virtualization system delivers, to the device by way of a secure connection between the security virtualization system and the device, sanitized data that corresponds to the intercepted data and has been sanitized by way of the security service. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Methods and devices for virtualizing device security using a multi-access server that is separate from a device

An exemplary client virtualization system implemented by a multi-access server receives a service request from an Internet of Things ('IoT') device that is separate from and communicatively coupled to the multi-access server. In response to the service request, the client virtualization system instantiates a virtualized device management client configured to serve the IoT device and that is hosted on the multi-access server. The client virtualization system receives a device management message that is for the IoT device and that is from a centralized device management server. The client virtualization system then delivers the device management message to the IoT device. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Methods and devices for virtualizing a device management client in a multi-access server separate from a device

A system may receive a request to schedule a wireless update for one or more user devices. The system may schedule transmission of the wireless update to the one or more user devices based on profiles associated with the one or more user devices and network load information associated with base stations associated with the one or more user devices. The profiles associated with the one or more user devices include, for each user device, a location history associated with the user device. The system may transmit the wireless update to the one or more user devices based on the scheduled transmission. The system may further schedule installation of the wireless update on the one or more user devices based on the profiles associated with the one or more user devices and send, to the one or more user devices, an indication to install the wireless update based on the scheduled installation.

Dynamic firmware over-the-air system for IoT devices

An exemplary virtual reality system presents virtual reality media content including representations of a plurality of objects to a user. The system detects a characteristic of a real-world environment of the user as the virtual reality media content is presented to the user and identifies, based on the detected characteristic of the real-world environment, an actionable real-world object included in the real-world environment. In response to the identifying of the actionable real-world object and as the virtual reality media content is presented to the user, the system dynamically integrates a proxy object corresponding to the actionable real-world object with the representations of the plurality of objects included within the virtual reality media content presented to the user. The proxy object may be configured to facilitate an action by the user with respect to the actionable real-world object as the virtual reality media content is being presented.

A system may determine to provide content in a multimedia content message to a user. The user may be associated with a recipient account that is associated with content type preferences that identify a plurality of permitted content types. Each content type, of the plurality of permitted content types, may identify a type of content that is permitted to be included in the multimedia content message. The system may obtain the content type preferences to determine the plurality of permitted content types. The system may determine one or more selected content types of the plurality of permitted content types. The one or more selected content types may be content types of content to be obtained by the system and included in the multimedia content message. The system may obtain content of the one or more selected content types. The system may provide the multimedia content message including the content.

Multimedia mail service

A device may identify an amount of data corresponding to a user device of a plurality of user devices associated with an account with a shared data amount. The amount of data may include an amount of data that is available for use by the user device and that is not available for use by other user devices of the plurality of user devices. The shared data amount may include an amount of data that is available for use by all of the plurality of user devices. The device may determine allocation information that identifies a portion of the amount of data available to the user device that is allocated for use in association with an application. The device may determine data usage information that identifies an amount of data used in association with the application. The device may determine data status information and may provide the data status information.
