Provided is a light source system, including: an excitation light source emitting excitation light; a wavelength conversion device having conversion and reflective regions located in different planes and time-sequentially located in optical path of the excitation light, the conversion region configured for converting at least part of the excitation light into excited light, and the reflective region configured for reflecting the excitation light; collection lens assembly configured to guide light from the conversion region to propagate along first direction to obtain first light, and guide the excitation light from the reflective region to propagate along second direction to obtain second light; first guide device configured to guide the excited light in the first light to exit along first path; and second guide device configured to guide the second light to propagate along second path. The first guide device combines the excited light and the second light to obtain source light.

Provided is a light source system, including: an excitation light source for emitting excitation light; a wavelength conversion device provided with a conversion layer which is used to perform wavelength conversion on at least a portion of the excitation light to obtain stimulated light, and to exit the stimulated light and the unconverted excitation light; and a dichroic assembly which is used to guide the stimulated light exited from the conversion layer to propagate along the second optical path, and finally to exit from the light source system along the exit optical path, and to guide at least a portion of the unconverted excitation light exited from the conversion layer to transmit on a path, which is not the exit optical path. Further provided is a projection device comprising the above light source system.

Disclosed are a light source system and a display device, including: a first light source configured to emit first light; a second light source configured to emit second light; a wavelength conversion device configured to perform a wavelength conversion on the first light to obtain third light; a first optical splitter having a first area and a second area; and a first light combining device. The first optical splitter moves in timing sequence to make the first area and the second area be sequentially located on a preset light path. A side surface of the first optical splitter is configured to homogenize the first light and the second light that are emitted to the first light combining device; and the first light combining device is configured to guide the first light, the second light, and the third light to exit along a same light path to form illumination light.

A light source device, including: an excitation light source; a supplementary light source; and a color wheel, the excitation light source emits first color light to the color wheel, the color wheel includes a first light-emitting region and a wavelength conversion region sequentially arranged along circumferential direction, and a supplementary light-emitting region located on inner or outer side of the wavelength conversion region, the first light-emitting region receives the first color light in a first time period and emit it, the wavelength conversion region receives the first color light in a second time period and emit excited light, and the supplementary light source emits, during the second time period, a supplementary light that broadens a color gamut and at least partially overlaps with a spectrum of the excited light, and the supplementary light from the supplementary light-emitting region is combined with the excited light from the wavelength conversion region.

A light source system comprises: an exciting light source for emitting exciting light; a supplemental light source for emitting supplemental light; a wavelength conversion apparatus for converting the wavelength of part of the exciting light and emitting first light; and a guide apparatus comprising a converging lens and a light combining element. The converging lens is used for adjusting a divergence angle of the first light. The light combining element comprises a first region. The supplemental light focuses on the vicinity of the first region, and the supplemental light and the first light emitted from the converging lens are combined with etendue at the light combining element. Light spots of the first light on a surface of the wavelength conversion apparatus form a magnified image at the light combining element by means of the converging lens.

Light source system, method for improving light efficiency thereof, and display device

A ballast for operating a compact fluorescent lamp includes a power factor correction circuit and an energy storage capacitor coupled to the output thereof. The power factor correction circuit is configured to draw current from an AC power source during substantially more than half of the cycle of the input AC voltage waveform; i.e., when operated such that full power is supplied to the lamp. Energy transfer elements in the power factor correction circuit extract energy from the AC power source via an input rectifier, even when the peak voltage of the AC voltage waveform is substantially lower than the voltage of the energy storage capacitor, and transfer the energy to the energy storage capacitor a sufficient number of times during for each cycle of the input AC voltage waveform (e.g., at least 500 times for each full cycle of a 60 Hz input AC voltage waveform for a lamp operated at a frequency of 30 kHz), such that the energy storage capacitor remains substantially fully charged during steady-state ballast operation. The power factor circuit additionally provides for improved dimming capability, specifically, dimming the discharge to low levels, while maintaining steady, non-flickering operation.
