A double-acting pump device includes a piston arrangement being slidably arranged in a pump housing. The pump housing is separated into a drive section with a drive fluid inlet and a drive fluid outlet and a pump section with an inlet and an outlet for a pump fluid. The drive section includes a switch mechanism which utilizes the difference between the drive fluid supply pressure and the drive fluid outlet pressure to reciprocate the piston arrangement, such that axially acting forces are transferred to the pump fluid which thereby achieves a desired pressure increase. Thus, the double-acting pump is arranged to utilize the energy in a supplied drive fluid to provide a defined pressure increase in a supplied pump fluid.

Pump device

An adjustable flow-control valve is for controlling the flow from a fluid-supply unit. The control valve includes a pressure-control unit and a flow-control unit, a first inlet for connection to the fluid-supply unit, and an outlet. The pressure-control unit includes a first chamber (I) and a second chamber (II) separated by a first movable element which is cooperatively connected to a first preloading device, the first chamber being in fluid communication with the first inlet and with the flow-control unit, and the second chamber being in fluid communication with the outlet of the flow-control valve and including a second inlet in fluid communication with the flow-control unit. The flow-control unit includes a third chamber (III) and a fourth chamber (IV) separated by a second movable element which is cooperatively connected to a second preloading device.

Flow control valve

Pressure volume regulator () for control of supply and pressure of barrier fluid for pumps and compressors subsea, comprising an inlet () for barrier fluid at an inlet pressure, a first outlet () and a second outlet (), the inlet pressure is higher than the first outlet pressure that is higher than the second outlet pressure. The pressure volume regulator is distinctive in that the inlet and the second outlet are interlocked between a movable longitudinal interlock member () with valve elements operatively arranged at either end, the length of the interlock member plus said valve elements is shorter than the distance between an open-close valve mechanism of the inlet and an open-close valve mechanism of the second outlet.

Pressure volume regulator

A subsea system is for uptake and supply of a liquid. The system comprises a storage tank having at least one outlet, a valve assembly, a pump having a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side, and a feed line. The outlet is in fluid communication with a lower internal volume of the tank, and the valve assembly. The low-pressure side of the pump and the feed line are in fluid communication with the outlet, and the valve assembly is arranged on the feed line, and the feed line is bypassing the pump, such that said pump may withdraw liquid from the tank when the valve assembly on the feed line is closed.

Intermediate storage

In aspects, a portable breathing apparatus is provided that includes a face mask having a breathing valve, a blower for the supply of breathing air to the breathing valve via a supply line, a filter device for cleaning of the breathing air from the blower, and a compressed-air reservoir for alternative supply of breathing air to the breathing valve. Additionally, the breathing valve is a demand valve configured to supply pressure equal to or above an ambient pressure, a check-valve is arranged on the upstream side of the blower, and the compressed-air reservoir is provided with a pressure control valve for establishing an overpressure above the ambient pressure in the entire breathing system, wherein the pressure control valve is upstream of the breathing valve and downstream of the check valve, so that gas or liquid cannot penetrate into the system when breathing gas is supplied from the compressed-air reservoir.

Portable breathing apparatus

A chamber having an internal volume, end surfaces and a side wall. The chamber is adapted to change its volume by leakage-free displacement of the end surface. The side wall has at least three adjacent sleeves (-), and an elastic seal (-) is arranged between each of the sleeves, such that the seals are pressurized and expanded when the sleeves are moved due to a displacement of the end surfaces.

Flexible chamber

A valve device for controlled supply of a pressure fluid, having a housing () with a supply chamber () for the supply of a pressure fluid from an inlet () connected to a pressure fluid source, and having an outlet () communicating with the supply chamber () via an outlet valve (). The valve device includes a reference chamber () connected to the outlet () through a narrow, leakage-forming duct (), a regulating unit () adapted to keep the supply chamber () permanently pressurised at a value just above the pressure in the reference chamber (), and a control valve () having a valve body () for opening and closing of a passage () between the supply chamber () and the reference chamber (). The control valve body () is arranged to be influenced by an external force for opening of the passage (), and to be influenced by a closing force determined by the pressure in the chambers () at the cessation of the influence of the external force, and the outlet valve () is a one-way valve having a predetermined opening pressure.

Valve device for controlled supply of a pressure fluid

A method and a regulating valve for maintaining a fluid pressure within a defined volume ( ), and simultaneous registering of discharge of fluid from the volume as a result of leakage or consumption. The fluid is supplied from a pressure regulating valve ( ) provided with a means ( ) which opens for the supply of fluid to the volume ( ) when the pressure therein has sunk below a first value (P1), and which shuts off the fluid supply when the pressure in the volume ( ) has achieved a preset second value (P2) which is substantially higher than the first value (P1). Thus, after each opening of the regulating valve ( ) there occurs a distinct pressure increase at the valve outlet. This pressure increase is registered as a pressure pulse, and the frequency of delivered pressure pulses is monitored and utilised as a measure of occurring leakage and/or consumption of the supplied fluid.

Method and device for maintaining a fluid pressure in a defined volume

A method and a system for controlling a separator unit for multiphase separation of fluids of different densities, wherein either a pressure in the separator unit or a level of one or more of the liquids in the separator unit is adjusted in relation to a reference value. The reference value and the relevant pressure in the separator unit ( ), or the level of the relevant liquid converted to a pressure, are supplied to either side of a pressure sensitive mechanical device ( ) which moves with deviations of the pressure from the reference value, and the movement is transferred directly to a mechanical control unit ( ) which is coupled to a control device ( ) on a fluid outlet ( ) from the separator unit ( ), and which utilizes the difference between the pressure in the separator unit and the pressure downstream of the control device for moving this in the desired direction for correcting for the deviation.

Method and system for controlling a separator unit for multiphase separation of fluids

A system for controlling the working conditions for mechanical pumps supplying associated devices with pressure fluid via a pipe system. A valve means ( ) is placed between at least one of the pumps and an appurtenant device supplied by the pump, which valve means is arranged to open only when the pump has started up, and by adjustment of its flow cross-section seeks to maintain its downstairs pressure at a value (P ) which is predetermined from the specifications of the pipe system and said device, but gives priority to restrict its flow cross-section so that counterpressure of the pump does not fall below a given minimum value (P ) determined from the characteristic properties of the pump. The valve means is a regulating valve ( ) operating in accordance with this functional principle. The regulating valve is based on a servo function utilising the Upstream pressure of the valve, the valve comprising a main valve body ( ) having an end surface constituting a movable surface in the servo chamber ( ), the volume of the servo chamber, and thereby the flow cross-section of the regulating valve, being regulated by a pair of control valves ( ) affected by the upstream pressure and the downstream pressure, respectively.

System for controlling the working conditions for mechanical pumps, and a regulation valve for such a system

A pressure regulating valve for controlling an upstream fluid pressure in relation to a reference pressure by regulating the fluid quantity let through the valve, comprising a housing ( ) having an upstream inlet ( ) and a downstream outlet ( ) for the fluid, a pressure-sensitive element ( ) for sensing the pressure difference between the upstream pressure and the reference pressure, and a spring-loaded regulating piston ( ) which, in cooperation with a seat ( ), is arranged to regulate a flow passage ( ) between the inlet ( ) and the outlet ( ), the piston ( ) being operatively connected to the pressure-sensitive element ( ), to change its position relative to the seat ( ) in accordance with the position of the pressure-sensitive element ( ). A protection system arranged to prevent a large trans-membrane pressure difference over a pressure sensitive membrane ( ) fitted in a pressure resistant chamber ( ), wherein the membrane forms a physical barrier between a liquid and a gas mixture carried through the chamber ( ), the protection system includes two shut-off valves ( ) provided in the liquid inlet and outlet lines respectively, a buffer tank ( ) provided in the line between one of the shut-off valves ( ) and the pressure resistant chamber ( ), a pressure equalizing valve ( ) provided between the gas inlet line ( ) and the buffer tank ( ) and a pressure sensing valve ( ) for measuring the pressure difference over the membrane ( ) and which activates the shut-off valves ( ) once this pressure difference exceeds a predetermined value.

Protection system to prevent damage to a gas diffusion membrane

A method and a valve apparatus for counteracting harmful pressure pulses caused by rapid retardation of a liquid in a hydraulic system comprising a pump for the supply of liquid to a conduit stretch containing a non-liquid-filled volume. The valve apparatus comprises a main valve having an inlet connected to a reservoir for pressurised gas, a first valve chamber connected in use to said volume, and a regulating unit for controlling the supply of pressurised gas to the first chamber. The regulating unit comprises a first device arranged to open for the supply of pressurised gas via the main valve to the first chamber when the pressure therein sinks below an activating valve, and thereafter to maintain the pressure in the chamber at a desired value, a second device causing an increased supply of pressurised gas to the first chamber when the pressure therein rises after having fallen to the activiating pressure, and a third device causing closing of the main valve and therewith shutting-off of the gas flow to the first chamber when the pressure therein has risen to a closing value.
