A method and a system for the positioning of the elevator car and the door of the elevator in the condition monitoring system are provided. In the method the accelerations of the elevator car and the door of the elevator are measured with a sensor. By integrating the acceleration information two times in relation to time the position information is determined. When the condition monitoring system detects a fault, forecasts a malfunction occurring in the future or detects a significant change in the operation of the elevator or in the measuring signals related to the elevator, it is possible to attach to this information the location of the fault or event i.e. the position of the elevator or the position of a door of a certain floor level on the slide path. The position information can be synchronized to a separate reference point by means of a positioned switch by making an adjustment to the position information at the reference point. The measuring error caused by the misalignment of the position of the sensor is compensated for either with electronics or using a program.

Positioning method in an elevator system

The present invention presents a method and a system for the positioning of the elevator car and the door of the elevator in the condition monitoring system. In the method the accelerations of the elevator car and the door of the elevator are measured with sensors. The invention concerns a method and a system for ensuring the operation of the safety circuit of an elevator or escalator, said safety circuit containing safety contacts () connected in series with a contactor (). In the method, the largest bypass current coming to the contactor in a fault situation is defined, a testing device () is connected in series with the safety circuit, said testing device containing at least one resistor (), which is used to produce a desired test current that is larger than the largest bypass current, and the neutral point () of the safety circuit is shifted if the contactor () remains energized by the aforesaid test current.

Method and arrangement for telemonitoring an elevator to determine its need for maintenance

Procedure for determining the number of passenger transfers in an elevator car on the basis of car load data. The procedure of the invention includes continuous measurement of the car load during stoppage, filtering of the measurement data, recording of the load changes taking place during stoppage, and determination of the number of persons having entered or left the elevator car, based on said changes. The device contains an A/D converter for converting the load data into digital form, and a recording and calculation unit placed in the elevator control system and connected to the output of the A/D converter to detect and count the changes in the load.

A procedure and an apparatus for producing an image based on contrast discrimination in an image forming apparatus with one-dimensional or multidimensional image field. For accomplishing a novel image forming system, specifically employable in small format image forming applications, the image signals obtained from the image forming points produce an electric current in the image forming channel connected to each image forming point, this current exerting an influence on the current passing from the tapping point of the image forming channel to said channel, and on the voltage produced at said tapping point, in the way that their product is proportional to the image signal current, and wherein the output of image forming is a frequency which is proportional to the current, and wherein the desired contrast heightening is achieved by supplying externally a suitable current to an interaction network connecting the tapping points of one or more image forming channels by suitably selected impedances, and wherein the frequencies obtained from each image forming channel constitute the starting point for the image forming cycle.
