An electric device includes a tank and a cable box connected to the tank, the tank and the cable box being filled with an insulating liquid electric connection system for connecting a power cable through the cable box to the tank and a current measuring device for measuring electric current in the electric connection system, wherein the current measuring device is located adjacent to a housing of the cable box.

The present disclosure relates to a wound electrical component comprising a wound body comprising a plurality of wound layers of a web of an electrically insulating material around a longitudinal axis of the body. The wound body comprises a plurality of electrically conducting layers of an electrically conducting material, each printed onto a respective separate area of the web in the wound body. An edge zone of at least one of the plurality of electrically conducting layers is connected to a printed high permittivity layer of a high permittivity material along said edge zone such that at least a part of the high permittivity layer extends, printed on the web, beyond the edge zone.

An insulator for electrically insulating an electrical conductor. The insulator includes a roll defining a central longitudinal through hole along a longitudinal axis of the insulator. The through hole is arranged for allowing an electrical conductor to pass there through. The insulator also includes at least one shed arranged on an outer surface of the roll. The shed includes a shed tip having an outer non-flat curvature defined by a plurality of different radii of curvature and including a most distal point of the shed. An end radius of curvature at the most distal point of the curvature is larger than a first radius of curvature at one side of the most distal point and a second radius of curvature at the other side of the most distal point.

The method for producing a composite insulator includes preparing a first solution including a solvent, a coupling agent and particles of a low resistivity material, applying the first solution on at least a part of an envelope surface of an insulating elongated core and thus forming one or more first adhesive primer layers and applying a protective layer onto the first adhesive primer layer on the elongated core, wherein the protective layer includes an outer surface with a shed profile.

The method also includes, in a subsequent consolidation step, subjecting the insulator to elevated temperature and pressure during a predetermined time period to consolidate the insulator.

The method relates to an electric device comprising at least two electrodes which are separated by dielectric part. At least one of said electrodes is arranged to be at a floating potential. The dielectric part comprises at least one turn of at least one non-impregnatable electrically insulating film between two neighboring electrodes. The electrodes are bonded to adjacent turns of non-impregnatable insulating film, and adjacent turns of non-impregnatable insulating film, if any, are bonded to each other, so that the turns of non-impregnatable insulating film and the electrodes form a solid body. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing an electric device, where bonding of at least one turn is performed upon forming of said turn, so that the bonding of said turn to the turn/electrode underneath will commence before said turn has been completely covered by the next turn.
