A toothed selector clutch is provided to operate in a hydrostatic/mechanical, split-torque power-shift transmission comprising a four-shaft epicyclic-gearwheel transmission and an infinitely variable hydrostatic transmission arranged in parallel. The selector clutch is associated with a particular gearwheel stage and is operated to select a particular gear. Gear changes take place at synchronous speeds without loading the engaging gear during the change and without interruption of the transmission of torque from the rotating shaft to the gear being disengaged. The toothed selector clutch is a coaxial double differential clutch with a clutch carrier that is arranged in a rotationally and axially fixed manner on a clutch shaft. A double piston, which can be subjected to a pressure medium on both sides, is provided as a shift bridge and is operatively connected to the clutch carrier by toothing thereby permitting torque transmission and axial displacement. The shift bridge carries shift toothing on each of its axially opposite ends and is acted upon from two separately controllable pressure spaces. When the shift bridge is subjected to pressure from both ends simultaneously, it remains or moves into its neutral, central position. Engagement of one of the two gears associated with the clutch may be accomplished depressurizing the pressure space assigned to the other gear causing the shift bridge to move axially and engage the intended gear.

Toothed selector clutch

A propulsion unit, preferably a propulsion unit for a utility vehicle, as well as a method for controlling same are disclosed. The propulsion unit comprises an engine, a transmission and a power take-off unit having a power take-off shaft. A first fraction of the engine output power is directed to the transmission, whereas a second fraction is directed to the power take-off shaft. At least one of the power fractions is detected by means of measuring units. The power fraction transmitted to the transmission is limited to a predetermined limit value. It is, therefore, possible to install a propulsion unit with an engine, the output power of which being higher than the admissible input power of the transmission.

Vehicle propulsion unit and method for controlling same

A power transmission has a 5-stage planetary transmission unit having first, second, third, fourth and fifth transmission shafts, a reverse mechanism and a coupling through which the first transmission shaft is connectable with a drive, a hydrostatic adjusting mechanism through which the second transmission shaft is connectable to the drive, and stage gears and associated stage couplings arranged so that the third, the fourth, and the fifth transmission shafts are each connected with a power take off through a respective one of the stage gears and the stage couplings. The hydrostatic adjusting mechanism is connectable through the reverse transmission and the coupling to the drive.

A process and device for controlling a hydrostatic positioning mechanism (HG) of a hydrostatic/mechanical, continuous output-distributing power shift gear in which after an engagement of a clutch (K2, K3) of a new gear in a load-free synchronous condition, the positive displacement volume is respectively continuously triggered for a change until the gear branch, which is still running, is released triggering by the clutch (K2, K3) to be disengaged respectively in the disengaging direction and by monitoring a setting signal of a clutch setting sensor (KS2, KS3) of the clutch (K2, K3) to be disengaged until a setting change is signaled.

Control for a positive displacement machine of a hydrostatic/mechanical

A process for controlling a hydrostatic adjustment gear (HG) of a hydrostatic-mechanical, continuous, split-output torque shift transmission, where a displacement volume (V.sub.new) is controlled following the engagement of a clutch (K2, K3) of a new gear, taking into consideration a leakage volume (DV.sub.old) in respect to a theoretical displacement volume (V.sub.th), after which the clutch (K2, K3) of the respective previously operating gear, which is still turning, is disengaged, where each new displacement volume (V.sub.new) is determined from the prior leakage volume (DV.sub.old) in accordance with different hydraulic pressure conditions in the adjustment gear (HG) prior to and following the shifting operation, where the setting of the new displacement volume (V.sub.new), which is determined in accordance with the hydraulic pressure conditions from the prior leakage volume (DV.sub.old), takes place in respect to the theoretical displacement volume (V.sub.th) in accordance with a new leakage volume (DV.sub.new). During upshifting and downshifting a differing ratio of the leakage volumes is taken into consideration, which occurs during the shifting process because of falling or rising of the hydraulic pressure. Therefore the disengagement of the clutch (K2, K3) of the prior gear takes place without torque loading during upshifting as well as downshifting.

Control of a displacement machine of a hydrostatic-mechanical torque

A power transmission having a four-shaft double planetary gear (I, II), which is driven on the one hand via a turning gear (WG) and on the other via a variable-displacement gear (HG) and is connectable on the power take-off side via selectable ratio gears via controllable clutches (K1A-K7A) to a power take-off shaft (AW3) and is connectable on the power take-off side retroactively via two of the selectable ratio gears (G4, G5) by means of a startup clutch (K0B), as a result of which with the turning gear (WG) disengaged, a fully hydraulic startup range is provided, and the other gear ranges are mechanically-hydraulically split in terms of power when the turning gear is engaged. All the clutches are double claw clutches. The startup clutch has a special construction, with a sliding sleeve. The transmission is especially suitable for agricultural machines, because it is fully reversible. Other versions are shown.

Hydrostatic split-type power transmission

A power transmision with a hydrostatically branched variable-displacement gear (HG), a two-stage epicyclic gear (I, II) and a mechanical 8-speed transmission that can be operated in forward and reverse, and with a control system (ST) that triggers the clutches (VV, VR, V0-V8) of the mechanical gear means such that for starting, the variable-displacement gear (HG) is shifted unbranched to the output shaft (ASW) and the clutches are each shifted in a load-free manner, and only on shifting up to 6th gear via the clutch (K5) of the 5th gear and on downshifting to a selectable 4th gear via the 4th-gear clutch (K4) a synchronization of the intermediate shaft (ZW) is effected. Starting and reversing are done by hydrostatically; the efficiency is high; the mechanical transmission factor is approximately 60; synchronization wear is low; and there are only two synchronizing clutches (K4, K5). In a second specifiable operating mode, the mechanical gear means is controlled in a manner free of synchronization, as a 4-speed transmission with a hydrostatic starting and reversing range.

An agricultural carrier vehicle comprises a vehicle, an agricultural aggregate connectable with the vehicle, a saddle unit arranged on the vehicle, a driver's cabin, at least two clamping devices arranged for bracing the driver's cabin in two different positions, an upwardly guiding transporting device arranged so that the agricultural aggregate and the saddle unit are connectable with the transporting device.

A continuously adjustable hydraulic-mechanical power transmission system has a mechanical part including an input shaft, forward gear and reversing gear controlled respectively by clutches for coupling with the input shaft; a planetary gear set has an annulus acting as a first shaft in continuous engagement with the forward gear and the reversing gear, a cage connected to a second shaft acting as an output of the system, and a sun wheel connected to a third shaft. The hydraulic part of the system includes an adjustable positive displacement hydraulic unit and a fixed displacement hydraulic unit hydraulically connected to the adjustable unit; the adjustable hydraulic unit is permanently connected to the reversing shaft of the mechanical unit and is hydraulically connected to the fixed displacement hydraulic unit, the range of the output rotational speed of the system always starts at one extreme adjusting position of the adjustable unit and ends at the opposite adjusting position of this unit for both directions of rotation.

A multiple-purpose agricultural machine, particularly a tractor, has a chassis, supporting elements associated with the chassis, a driver's cabin movable relative to the chassis between at least two working positions spaced from one another and detachably mounted on the supporting elements so that it can be detached from the supporting elements for movement between the working positions, and mounting elements for detachably mounting the driver's cabin on the supporting elements. The supporting elements may be formed as two receiving elements fixedly mounted on the machine and arranged to be alternately coupled with the driver's cabin, or has elements provided on an implement which is connected with the tractor.

A self-propelled multiple-purpose agricultural machine, particularly a tractor, has a chassis, a driver's cabin movable relative to the chassis between at least two working positions and lowerable relative to the chassis to a third low position, at least one machine axle connected with the chassis and located at a predetermined height above a ground level, auxiliary frame connected with the machine axle and supporting the driver's cabin so that its supporting plane is located substantially at the height of the machine axle, and a plurality of control elements extending from the driver's cabin and formed of such a type and with such a length that the connection of the control elements with respective parts of the machine is guaranteed and does not need to be interrupted even when the driver's cabin is lowered to the third low position onto the auxiliary frame.
