Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for avoiding conflicts between versions of an editable binary file from a shared repository of system management files, workflows, and/or items. In particular, a computing environment may include a development tool for altering the item and a standby development tool that maintains the latest version of the item. The computing environment is configured to execute a pre-commit script or program that checks a version number of the edited item to a version number of the item maintained by the standby development tool such that changes made to the item are only committed when the item has not been edited or changed by another user to the shared repository. In this manner, conflicts between versions of the binary file may be avoided such that each user's alterations to the file or item from the infrastructure management tool are properly committed.

Systems and methods for avoiding version conflict in a shared cloud management tool

A system, method and computer program product for a test framework for orchestration workflows. For example, a method in accordance with some embodiments includes accessing a workflow test function library comprised of a plurality of workflow test functions. A workflow test function is a function that tests an orchestration workflow component. A plurality of workflow test suites may be accessed, each of which is comprised of one or more workflow tests. A workflow test hook is inserted into a target orchestration workflow component. The inserted workflow test hook is associated with at least one of the plurality of workflow test suites. The inserted workflow test hook is invoked thereby causing each of workflow tests to be performed on the target workflow test component. Target orchestration workflow component test result information is received from the target orchestration workflow component and the target workflow component test result information is outputted.

A backup/recovery system for a computing environment includes a computing device that executes an agent to obtain a recovery plan (RP) comprising one or more provisioning steps to be performed for provisioning a plurality of resources associated with a source computing environment. The RP including configuration information associated with a hardware configuration and a software configuration of a source computing environment functioning at a first operational level in which the configuration information being sufficient to restore a target computing environment to at least a portion of the first operational level of the source computing environment. From this obtained information, the agent translates the configuration information into a specified format, and outputs the translated configuration information to a computer-readable file.
