A method of multipath error suppression in a satellite navigation receiver, including steps of navigation satellites signals searching, receiving and processing complex signals from each satellite, tracking found signals with a following-up open loop and determining coordinates, receiver velocity and exact time based on measurements of direct and reflected signal delay and Doppler frequency, the method including: forming, on the basis of navigation parameters, a two-dimensional accumulated power grid, calculating single-path signal corrections using the centered accumulated power grid determining, whether a multipath is presented, and performing, in case of positive result of this determination, improvement of corrections using weights, wherein, performing improvement of corrections using weights is carried out by forming a likelihood function on the basis of a centered accumulated powers vector, and correction is performed according to the found likelihood function global maximum.

Method for suppressing multipath errors in a satellite navigation receiver

A GPS data recording apparatus includes a storage device and a processing circuit coupled to the storage device. The processing circuit comprises: a sampling module, for sampling a GPS data; and a packet processor, for packetizing the sampled GPS data to generate a data packet to be stored in the storage device, and for unpacketizing the stored data packet from the storage device if necessary. According to present invention, GPS data can be recorded and be replayed as necessary.

GPS data recording apparatus and related method thereof

A GPS receiver architecture is disclosed having digital correlation processing in faster than real-time, which is achieved by storing signal samples into a memory in real-time at a first rate and reading packs of stored samples at a second higher rate. For mitigating cross-correlation interference from the strong signal to reception of weak ones, a group of compensator blocks is introduced. A method of interference waveform reproducing is disclosed that compensates influence of stronger signal over long coherent accumulation intervals, not complicating processing of the strong signal over shorter coherent accumulation intervals. Search bins corrupted by under-compensated interference are pre-calculated and discarded.

Method of weak signal acquisition and associated apparatus

A method for processing weak indoor signals in presence of cross-correlation or continuous wave interference and associated GPS receiver are provided. The method comprises providing a two-dimensional delay-Doppler accumulated power pattern having a plurality of accumulated powers corresponding to frequency bins and code bins; for a predetermined frequency bin, determining partial average value of accumulated powers over specific set of code bins so that the major part of signal energy is intentionally not included in the partial average; and subtracting the partial average value from all accumulated powers for the predetermined frequency bin; repeating the partial average calculation and subtraction for each frequency bin of a pattern to generate a two-dimensional delay-Doppler accumulated power pattern with suppressed interference effect.

Method of cross-correlation and continuous wave interference suppression for GPS signal and associated GPS receiver

A method of increasing speed of digital correlation processing in a global positioning system (GPS) receiver and associated receiver. The method comprises steps of digitizing a received GPS signal at a first rate to obtain digitized samples, storing the digitized samples in a memory at the first rate, reading packs of a predetermined number of digitized samples at a second rate that is faster than the first rate, generating packs of the predetermined number of signal replica samples at the second rate, and correlating the packs of digitized samples from the memory with the generated replica samples at the second rate.

Method and apparatus for accelerating correlation processing of GPS signal

A method for processing weak indoor signals in presence of cross-correlation or continuous wave interference and associated GPS receiver are provided. The method comprises providing a two-dimensional delay-Doppler accumulated power pattern having a plurality of accumulated powers corresponding to frequency and time; for a predetermined frequency, determining an average value of accumulated powers of the two-dimensional delay-Doppler accumulated power pattern over a plurality of times; and subtracting the average value from the accumulated powers used in determining the average at the frequency over the plurality of times to generate a delay-Doppler accumulated power pattern with suppressed interference effect.
