A heat exchanger having a core defining a plurality of first fluid flow passages and a plurality of second fluid flow passages arranged in alternating order, and a housing enclosing the core. The housing has a top wall arranged opposite to the top of the core, and a bottom wall arranged opposite to the bottom of the core. A plurality of connecting structures which together provide a rigid connection between the core and the housing, wherein each of the connecting structures provides a connection between the top of the core and the top wall of the housing, or between the bottom of the core and the bottom wall of the housing. Wherein each of the connecting structures has a first connecting element and a second connecting element. The first connecting element is associated with the core and the second connecting element is associated with the housing.

Structurally integral heat exchanger within a plastic housing

A heat exchanger having a conical-shaped core is disclosed. A first set of flow passages is formed between mating conical-shaped core plates, the mating plates forming plate pairs that are spaced apart from each other forming a second set of flow passages therebetween. A pair of oppositely disposed fluid openings are provided for inletting/discharging a fluid to/from the heat exchanger in a co-axial manner, the fluid openings being interconnected by a pair of fluid manifolds formed in the outer perimeter of the core, the second set of flow passages and a fluid manifold formed centrally through the heat exchanger. A second set of inlet/outlet manifolds formed within the perimeter of the core are interconnected by the first set of flow passages. Flow through the first set flow passages is peripheral around the perimeter of the conically-shaped core plates while flow through the second set of flow passages is along the angle defined by the conical-shaped plates.

Conical heat exchanger

A gas/liquid heat exchanger comprises a stack of flat tubes, defining liquid flow passages. Spaces between the flat tubes define gas flow passages, with the sides of the core having an irregular comb-like arrangement. The heat exchanger further comprises a housing having side covers over the sides of the core, and being spaced from the sides of the core. The core has at least one portion of reduced width, so as to provide channels extending throughout the height of the core. The heat exchanger further comprises a pair of side seals at least partly received in the gap between the side cover of the housing and the core, and more particularly in the channels along the sides of the core. The side seal extends throughout the height of the core and has a thickness which is greater than that of the gap.

Heat exchanger with self-retaining bypass seal

A heat exchanger system containing a heat exchanger coupled to a fitting. The fitting contains a tube having a heat exchanger attachment end and an opposing end. The fitting further having a sleeve, having a sleeve body connecting a first end of the sleeve to an overlapping end. The first end of the sleeve being coupled to an outer surface of the tube and the sleeve body and the second end of the sleeve being spaced from the outer surface of the tube defining a space for receiving a conduit and adapted for coupling the fitting to the conduit. Also described is a fitting that can be attached to a conduit.
