A wire-rope twisting machine comprising a rotor mounted in supports secured to a carrying plate, the rotor having a vertically disposed axis of rotation and accommodating journaled in bearings, a spool holder of magnetic material and spools provided with braking means and a wire being twisted, and a spool holder fixing means in the form of an electromagnet. The rotor is fashioned as at least two interconnected end plates journaled in bearings, one of the end plates being the driving plate. The spool holder is made common for all the spools, the axis of rotation thereof essentially coinciding with the axis of rotation of the rotor.

Vertical wire-rope twisting machine

A wire stranding machine intended for the manufacture of metal cord strands comprises a vertical rotor made in the form of a shaft with casings secured on the ends thereof and internally accommodating reel holders. Parts are provided in the casings for installing reels into the reel holders and guide dies for passing wires. On a portion between the casings the rotor shaft is provided with through ducts. Adjacent the reel holders are electromagnets fixedly mounted for restraining the reel holders from rotating together with the shaft. This makes it possible to decrease the mass and reduce the dimensions of the machine, and to simplify the servicing thereof.

Wire stranding machine

A tank furnace comprises a first container containing a molten flux and connected with a hoisting mechanism, and a second container containing a molten coating metal. The second container is stationary mounted so as to be placed inside the first container when in its upper position. The mechanism for advancing articles into the coating zone is connected with a device for controlling the depth of immersion of the articles being coated. The first container is fitted with electrodes.
