A pruner includes a pruner body, a cutting system, an electric motor to provide driving power for the cutting system. Rotation of the electric motor in a first direction is provides a cutting action. A control system is provided for controlling the electric motor. The pruner further includes a blade stuck detection system to detect a blade stuck situation in which the cutting system is not able to reach the closed position, and the control system, as a response to detection of the blade stuck situation, is configured in a recut operation to rotate the electric motor in a second direction opposite the first direction, and then to rotate the electric motor in the first direction to actuate the cutting system towards the closed position.

Pruner

A tree pruner includes a pruner body, a blade system, and an electric motor to provide driving power for the blade system. Rotation of the electric motor in a first direction provides a cutting action. A control system controls the electric motor, and a transmission system having a transmission rope transfers power from the electric motor to the blade system. The tree pruner includes a tension management system to detect a slack rope situation in which tension of the transmission rope is below a predetermined limit value, and the control system prevents rotation of the electric motor in a second direction opposite to the first direction as a response to detection of the slack rope situation.

A tool includes a tool head with a utilization surface. The tool also includes a counter device responding to an impact applied to the utilization surface. The counter device has a memory, a microcontroller controlling operation of the counter device, an indicator, and an energizer connected to the microcontroller, which in response to the impact applied to the utilization surface, produces an electric current energizing the counter device to make a modification in the memory and provide information about the cumulative count of impacts in the memory via the indicator to a user.

A method includes generating automatic elevator calls in an elevator system using a personal identifier, reading identification data of an identifier on a first departure floor, connecting information about the departure floor to the identification data, reading the identification data on some second departure floor, and on the basis of the identification data, generating an elevator call for taking the passenger back to the first departure floor.

An elevator system includes at least one elevator serving at least one floor having a collective call panel and at least one second floor having a destination call panel. A plurality of views to be presented in a car panel are recorded in the elevator system, and a view to be presented in the car panel at any given time is selected based on the floor data of the elevator car.

An arrangement for the call apparatus and display apparatus of an elevator has a body part which includes at least call buttons and other actuators, such as apertures for the display elements. The body part is essentially universal such that the number, size, shape and placement location of the apertures of the body part are arranged to be suited for the use of as many display variations and/or call button variations as possible, and in that an essentially thin light-attenuating film-like layer is disposed in front of the body part, which layer is fitted to allow light produced by the display elements through, but covers the apertures and other features in the body part.

The present invention presents a call panel of an elevator or of an elevator system including one or more display elements, a front plate covering the call panel, in connection with which front plate a touch sensor is fitted, and also a control unit to which the display elements and also the touch sensor are connected. The detection area of the touch sensor covers both an active area, and a passive area, where the active area additionally utilizes display elements, while the passive area lacks display capability and remains outside at least some of the aforementioned active area, in which one or more touch-sensitive pushbuttons are disposed in the passive area. The control unit is arranged to react to a touch of the touch-sensitive pushbuttons specified for the aforementioned detection area.

The present invention deals with a method and system for producing services in the communication system of a building. In the method of the invention, the communication system includes at least one terminal device applicable for local-area communication, at least one communication unit, at least one server controlling the communication system, at least one base station for implementing a local-area network in the communication system, and a local network for implementing mutual data transfer between the communication unit, the server controlling the communication system and the base station. In the method, a number of service folders are generated in the terminal device and a service folder applicable to the purpose in each case is selected. From the selected service folder, a service request is selected which is transmitted from the terminal device to the communication system, where the service request is executed in one or more sub-stages using one or more communication units.

A method for tracking objects includes providing each of at least two different objects with a transmitter having individualized identifier data; logically connecting the objects to each other by connecting the identifier data of the transmitters to each other; recording the identifier data of the transmitters of the objects in a memory; connecting contact information of the object in question to the identifier data; detecting the transmitter of the object with a receiver of an identification point when the object comes close to the identification point; determining based on the identifier data contained in the memory whether at least two objects logically connected to each other have traveled past the identification point inside a pre-defined time window; and performing one or more pre-defined feedback actions when at least two of the objects logically connected to each other have not traveled past the identification point inside the pre-defined time window.

A guidance system and a method for guiding passengers in an elevator system. The elevator system including a number of elevators, receiving and allocating passenger's destination call data, and implementing data transfer between the elevator system and the guidance system. The guidance system storing guiding messages into the guidance system and a number of reproduction devices for reproducing the guiding messages in the elevator system. Stored in the guidance system are a number of guiding messages, of which number a guiding message corresponding to the route has been defined for at least one route in the elevator system, which guiding message can be reproduced along the route in question. Guidance system

A method and call system for an elevator car located within a building that may react to a passenger's approach and arrival in front of the actual elevator door. The system makes use of a sensor located near to an exterior door of the building containing the elevator, and a second different sensor located near to the actual elevator bank in which the arriving passenger would intend to enter. The system may also make use of identifying a passenger based upon a predetermined identification or authorization to include automatic communication through to the elevator for initial entrance floor location as well as an exit floor location based upon the predetermined passenger's identification and/or authorization.
