Disclosed are novel compositions and methods for introduction of macromolecules and nanoparticles into living cells. The invention includes a polypeptide sequence which when fused to a macromolecule or nanoparticle enhances its introduction into the cell.

Compositions and methods for introduction of macromolecules into cells

Methods of treating, preventing, and/or ameliorating ainfection in a subject are disclosed. The methods comprise administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of ainhibitor, e.g., aserine protease inhibitor. These methods are useful in treating, preventing, and/or amelioratinginfections such as, for example, West Nile Virus, Dengue Virus, and Japanese Encephalitis Virus.

Flavivirus inhibitors and methods of their use

Methods of treating, preventing, and/or ameliorating a Flavivirus infection in a subject are disclosed. The methods comprise administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a Flavivirus inhibitor, e.g., a Flavivirus serine protease inhibitor. These methods are useful in treating, preventing, and/or ameliorating Flavivurs infections such as, for example, West Nile Virus, Dengue Virus, and Japanese Encephalitis Virus.
