A laminated core comprising a plurality of segments is provided. The segments each comprise a plurality of soft magnetic lamination sheets that are stacked one on top of another in a direction of stacking and attached to one another by means of a first connection type to form a segment. The segments are attached by means of a second connection type to form a laminated core, the first and second connection types being different.

In an embodiment a FeCoV alloy is provided with a composition consisting essentially of 30 wt %≤Co≤55 wt %, 0.4 wt %≤V≤1.5 wt %, 0. wt %≤Nb≤0.15 wt %, 0.0 wt %≤Ta≤0.20 wt %, 0.04 wt %≤Nb+0.5·Ta≤0.15 wt %, max. 0.02 wt % C, 0.0 wt %≤Si≤0.50 wt %, 0.0 wt %≤Al≤0.50 wt %, max. 0.5 wt % Mn, max. 0.5 wt % Cr, max. 0.5 wt % Ni, max. 0.5 wt % W, max. 0.5 wt % Mo, max. 0.5 wt % Zr, the rest Fe and up to 1 wt % of other impurities, and having a phase transition from a ferritic α-phase region to a mixed ferritic/austenitic α+γ-region that takes place at a transition temperature T(α/α+γ), where T(α/α+γ)≥900° C., preferably ≥920° C., preferably ≥940° C.

FeCoV alloy and method for producing a strip from an FeCoV alloy

A soft magnetic alloy comprising 2 wt %≤Co≤30 wt %, 0.3 wt %≤V≤5.0 wt % and iron is provided. The soft magnetic alloy has a area proportion of a {}<uvw> texture of no more than 13%, preferably no more than 6%, including grains with a tilt of up to +/−10°, or preferably of up to +/−15°, when compared to the nominal crystal orientation.

A method of producing a CoFe alloy strip is provided. The method comprises hot rolling a CoFe alloy to form a hot rolled strip, followed by quenching the strip from a temperature above 700° C. to a temperature of 200° C. The CoFe alloy comprises an order/disorder temperature Tand a ferritic/austenitic transformation temperature T, wherein T>T. The method further comprises cold rolling the hot rolled strip, after cold rolling, continuous annealing the strip at a maximum temperature T, wherein 500° C.<T<T, followed by cooling at a cooling rate Rof at least 1 K/s in the temperature range of Tto 500° C., and after continuous annealing, magnetic annealing the strip, or parts manufactured from the strip, at a temperature between 730° C. and T.

A method of producing a strip from a CoFe alloy is provided. A slab consisting substantially of 35 wt %&#x2264;Co&#x2264;55 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;V&#x2264;3 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;Ni&#x2264;2 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;Nb&#x2264;0.50 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;Zr+Ta&#x2264;1.5 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;Cr&#x2264;3 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;Si&#x2264;3 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;Al&#x2264;1 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;Mn&#x2264;1 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;B&#x2264;0.25 wt %, 0 wt %&#x2264;C&#x2264;0.1 wt %, the remainder being Fe and up to 1 wt % of impurities, is hot rolled and then quenched from a temperature above 700&#xb0; C. to less than 200&#xb0; C. The hot rolled strip is cold rolled. The cold rolled strip is stationary annealed to produce an intermediate strip, and the intermediate strip is continuously annealed.

A soft magnetic laminated core is provided which comprises first laminations and second laminations arranged in a stack having a stacking direction substantially perpendicular to a major surface of the first laminations and the second laminations. The soft magnetic alloy has been annealed at a temperature in the range of 730&#xb0; C. to 880&#xb0; C. for a time of 1 to 6 hours and comprises a yield strength in the range of 200 MPa to 450 MPa and a coercive field strength of 0.3 A/cm to 1.5 A/cm.
